What you are saying suggests that Catholics hold Mary as a God equal or apart from Jesus. A true Catholic faith looks to Mary to intercede on behalf of someone who is praying, she approaches Jesus or gets Jesus or God's attention. Then she tells God or Jesus to pay special attention to answering the prayer. I don't see what the problem is, it's certainly not blasphemy.

God created a Mother (Mary) for his Son Jesus; who is God, the Second Person of the Trinity.
She is the Mother of His human nature, not His divine nature.
Why is this hard to see?
Jesus is God
Mary is the mother of Jesus
Mary is the mother of God
Luke 1:43 tells us of Elizabeth greeting Mary with, "And whence is this to me, that the Mother of my Lord should come to me?"

Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, who is God the Son, and therefore can be addressed as the Mother of God.
This is similar to a commoner who marries a king and becomes the mother of the next king. She is entitled to the title Queen and Mother of the King even though she is not royalty.
Nobody two hundred, five hundred or a thousand years ago would have been confused about it. But this is hard for people to understand in these times where royalty and kings and queens are few and far between.
With love in Christ.

It's a shame you don't do some research prior to asking ignorant questions. At least I can put you at ease by letting you know that God created Jesus' mother, and she is not worshiped by Catholics. She is honored as Jesus' mother, and some people hope she'll intercede for them with her son. Maybe you think that's silly, but it cannot be called blashpemous, unless you just want something to hate Catholics for, and you don't even care if your hatred has any factual basis. Enjoy.

Nope, God created the Mother of His Living Word. Maybe you should go back and read the bible carefully and slowly.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee...(the Angel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary).
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb...(St. Elizabeth, currently carrying St. John the Baptist, said this to her cousin Blessed Virgin Mary when the BVM came to visit her after the Angel Gabriel spoke to her).

Catholics do a lot of things against the Word of God. For example, the bible says in Matthew 23:9 "Do not call anyone Father (in reverence, or as a title), for one is your Father, He who is in Heaven."
They call their priests "Father"
Jesus forbade repetitive prayer in Matthew 6:7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetitions..."-like the rosary.
Most Catholics believe that Mary remained a perpetual virgin. This also isn't true Matthew 1:24-25
And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, but kept her a virgin she gave birth to a son, and he called His name Jesus.
Catholics also have been told by their Pope that Mary is "Co-Mediatrix", meaning that Jesus' sacrifice wasn't good enough to completely absolve us from our sins.
1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the Man is Christ Jesus."
I'm a Christian, but I also believe the church led by the Pope is an apostate church, possibly the Mother of Harlots riding the scarlet beast in Revelations 17.
*edit* You said it yourself-"Mother of God" is a phrase out of a popular [Catholic] prayer.

The Christian right are intolerant of free thinkers. They feel they have little or nothing to learn from perspectives other than their own. They wish to raise their children in "closed" sometimes "Anglo only" environments, exposing them as little as possible to the "corrupting" influences of the outside world. Indeed, by isolating their children this way, they pass on their intolerance to their progeny. Music and art to the Christian right must conform to their biblical beliefs. For example, lyrics or art labeled "pornographic," films and/or books that accept, not necessarily promote, homosexuality as an alternative life style are condemned as corrupting influences on youth. The Christian right, almost gratuitously makes homosexuality a rallying point, a way to raise "true believers" in thoughtless, easy condemnation. They readily claim that the country is run by homosexuals and blame them for numerous social ills. To many of the Christian right, AIDS represents God's punishment of homosexuals.
THEIR HATRED ONLY MEANS that they do not understand the true meanings of the bible that they are so fond of quoting and that THEIR attitude can only mean one thing. THAT according to their religion, their behaviour and hatred condemns them and that THEY WILL GO TO THE HELL THAT THEY WISH ON EVERYONE ELSE.

I agree with you. There should be no one before God. All have sinned and all fall short of God's glory and I guess it includes every human being who has ever inhabited planet earth. Jesus' mother was a human too. She should not be worshipped. She shoud not and cannot take the place of God.

I think the Catholics borrowed from the egyptians who had the goddess Isis. I agree there is only but one God creator of all things and Jesus Christ whom He sent.

catholics didn't "create" Mary. She's the mother of Jesus. I don't quite understand what your question means? Doesn't make any sense. You must not know that Jesus is God.
