As in what's done is done, no big deal? I think we should all strive to be the best that we can be, as in no sex before marriage, adultery is out, fornication is an absolute no no, and sex should be regarded as a low priority in a relationship.

I've seen this question pop up a few times..but never a solid answer. Is there any claiming Christian faith that actually believes Mary remained a virgin after the birth of Christ? And my second question aiming probably more towards Catholics...Is the name Mary mother of God just a title or do you believe her to equal in a way with God that she could actually be his mother?

Atheist and non-faith people comment if you like but I'm not addressing this to you and could care less your opinion.

come true? How did you deal with this? Was it as terrifying in real life as in your dream? What did you do? Do you have dreams and or visions whether positive or negative, sometimes?

I had a premonition about me being in a car accident...I saw the right color cars..and and island in the middle of the street,as well as lights...and a small silver car went and turned in front of a white and a silver bluish car..(made a left turn) when it should have waited for the others cars...and that is pretty much what happened to me, in real life! I was okay..and luckily didn't hurt or kill anybody! I was in a white car...and the car that turned left illegally in front of me..was a small silver car!( when I had that dream..I woke up really fast...I knew that it wasn't just a "dream"!) :-( but, lucky for me, there were police (about ten more or less where I had the real accident at...and other people...and I wasn't at fault!)

According to the non-biblical Nicene Creed, which most of Christianity accepts as doctrine, God the Father and Jesus Christ are one and the same. Yet in John 7:17, Jesus states, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." This suggests that there is a choice of the doctrine coming from God the Father or Jesus, but if the non-biblical Nicene Creed is to be accepted they are both one and the same and therefore there is no choice, which suggests that Jesus was deceiving the Jews by implying that there was a choice. Would Jesus deceive anyone or is it the non-biblical Nicene Creed that is doing the deceiving?

a friend or a family member had a "demonic spirit" in their body? Would you disbelieve them, and or stop being friends with them, or ignore them and their "issues" or get them some help and stand by them?
What would you do? Why or why not?

of simple calculation 1*1*1=1 and not 1+1+1=3 . Why Muhammad concept of 3 person in one GOD is 1+1+1=3. For example water can be in a solid(ice).liquid,gas/vapour stage. although it's in diffrent form the conclusion is that it's still water. Why God cannot be coinsist of the Father,Son and Holy Spirit

God is so great and created the entire universe... 70 sextillion stars and more than likely there is other life out there. Every cell, tissue, organ, organ system, works because of God. All the organisms and species react in a way such that not every animal or plant is dying from disease or etc.. Now, how come his "son" came and left in 30 years as a human... on the planet Earth.

That is like us reproducing a god

If there was a main religion back then, what made each of them splinter off by themselves?

Is it because one religion sees itself more "true to god" than the others?

If you have a request, leave it here and when I sign in in the morning I will pray for your requests too. Thank you. So will you pray for Bill and I? and will you allow me to pray with you?

My child was sexually assaulted by a kindergarten teacher, who did 3 years. During his incarceration i paid him a visit & told him i was going to arrange a meeting for him with his maker. Within 4 days of his release, he came knocking at my door, holding a gun which he offered me with an opology & a confession of his new found faith. I could'nt bring myself to harm him. I watched this man over time & he had truly repented, alas, my associates were less forgiving & he got his meeting after all. what would you have done under the circumstances?

1. First of all, he must be Jewish
2. He must be a member of the tribe of Judah
3.He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon
4. He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel
5. He must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem
6. He will rule at a time of world-wide peace
7. He will rule at a time when the Jewish people will observe G-d's commandments
8. He will rule at a time when all people will come to acknowledge and serve one G-d

Except of being a Jewish who started to blaspheme, I can see him matched no other criteria of being the Messiah. He could not even passed his messages to the lost tribes of Israel. Another mission failed.

Ok, just to be clear, I'm an atheist (as I'm sure anyone who has ready any of my posts is aware). Unlike some atheists, I have no problem with other people having faith in God, whatever form He may take for them. But I just have to ask:

Why do you believe?

It's a fact that there is no evidence in the existence of God. Most of the things "believers" will tout as evidence of God is simply evidence of SOMETHING. As far as I can tell over the years, God is just a convenient answer to questions we can't answer. I stand up to these questions and say "I don't know." I'm asking the truly faithful, the "saved" is you prefer that term, WHY they believe. Not an insult, not a disparagement, I am honestly trying to understand. So dig deep into your faith and think past your childhood indoctrinations and tell me.

I'm jealous.

I posted a question the other day for Jehovah Witnesses, asking why they were certain Jesus was not God. One of the JWs explained:

"The Sahidic Coptic New Testament, which existed 1,700 years prior to their Bible, shows --for instance-- that John 1:1 was first written exactly the way their New World Translation Bible now renders it, & therefore proves that it was later changed ..."

At the same time, I've heard from others that Jehovah Witnesses were responsible for changing the original wording of this scripture. So I'm trying to determine which is accurate information.

Can someone explain the validity of The Sahidic Coptic New Testament? How reliable is it? What is it? And where can I find other "neutral" sources concerning the original translation of John 1:1 which reads "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

The NWT reads "In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god." Thanks

What if everything you read in the Bible was thought up by Satan to trick people into believing more into religion than focusing on God? Dont say you have to have faith because in this case im saying what the Bible says is irrelevant. I am a Christian but i just thought this the other night before bed. How do we know that Satan didnt just make up the Bible and make up Jesus to focus us on something other than God? Scientists have found peices of Noahs ark i believe and if so then yes the Bible is true, but Satan could have just as easily put historical documents in the Bible to trick us. Dont say that Satan is arrogant and his traits that the Bible says he is either because im saying what if the Bible is irrelevant. How do we know we are believing in the right thing?

I was agnostic for almost 30 years, but I was lucky. Although I was surrounded by devotely religious people their faith was not crammed in my face. My best friend was Roman Catholic. I told her at that time that I just couldn't go for something I couldn't see or touch. This is what was important: she, my (then) future husband, his family, friends and even the priest simply said they respected my choice. They said if I don't want to think of myself living by God's laws that was fine, but I needed to remember to live by the laws of morality and mankind. I had no problem with that and eventually events in my life occurred that brought me to the church.
What I would like to know is this: As Christians we are taught that Christ died for ALL of us, he awaits any non-believer's invitation and he said if you did not believe in Him, believe in His work. Why are you so harsh and why don't you wait to help until they want it? That has got to be the quickest way to insure they never believe.

In your opinion, what is the best Jesus movie that has been made so far?

My vote goes to Jesus of Nazareth.

It had everything: a grade-A cast, a great script, it stayed true to doctrine without upsetting either Catholics or Protestants, and it also was presented in a way that modern, contemporary, secular audiences could relate to.

Along with the Ten Commandments, Jesus of Nazareth is probably one of the best religion movies ever made.
