Jesus was either Lord, or a liar, or a lunatic. He is either who He claimed to be or He is a liar.... but if that was the case... why die an horrible death with all those beatings that just about skinned him alive... for a lie?
If He was a lunatic... His teachings were sound for all to see. He was healing people... and was murdered by those in rule and authority. Why was that? Was He a threat to them so much so that they had to kill Him?
No... I think He is the Lord. And that separates him from anyone else in history.

All throughout the Old Testament people were looking for physical leaders, kings, etc... The way I see it, God let Jesus be born, in a way, giving people what they wanted. But he wasn't a king like what the people visioned. He didn't have gold, jewels, big castles, servants (in the traditional sense), etc...
He gave us Jesus so we could learn from him and find our way to God. All the time knowing that Jesus would only be on this earth for 30-some-odd years. Those years were enough for Jesus to make his mark and continue to give us free will.

Jesus is the Son of God because he inherited the role played by Osiris of Egypt for many thousands of years before him. The Christ figure fulfills the model of the man-god, the mediator and redeemer who dies and rises again, the Son of God, all of which characterized Osiris long before.
Osiris is reborn in various cultures around the Mediterranean. In Greece he became Dionysus. In Phrygia he is Attis. In Canaan he is Y'Shua ben Yosef bar Nz'ret made into the Christ. They are all pretty much the same figure. Y'Shua a.k.a. Jesus was a man, but Christ is a title, not a personal name, and it is as the Christ that he fills the role of the Son of God, the creator of the world, a role inherited from his predecessors.

God Sent his Only Begotten Son "Jesus" to live on earth as "Sinless" a mortal Man and to Die, "Bearing All the Sins of Man on the Cross", that's why Christ cried out "Father , Why have thou Forsaken Me" ...Because God could not look upon Sin and had to turn his back on the "SIN" that Christ was bearing when he Died. Therefore sacrificing himself "The Lamb of God" for all the sins of mankind, so that when we accept Him as OUR LORD and SAVIOR we are redeemed "Born Again" or "Saved".and our sins are then forgiven. You Need to get back to Church and Sunday School and start learning what is REALLY in the Bible and Not what you THINK is in the Bible! Please get right with GOD! We are in the End Days...May God bless You!

not enough time or space here at yahoo but to sum it up it's called original sin. nothing was meant to die we were to walk with God forever yet man sinned. once we sinned there was no turning back. but God had a plan for us Jesus would voluntarily live although a short life but a life none the less here on earth a perfect life. He would die on the cross and bare the burden of punishment for our sins upon himself. only a perfect sacrifice would do.

Man kept refusing to obey God and many went and did terrible things. They disobeyed his rules..sin was rampant.
Man was asked to do rituals and sacrifices and ceremonies in order to cleanse themselves from sin..yet they returned to sin. God tried to stop it with the flood and the destruction of sodom and gomorrah etc..man always returned to sin.
God sent His own son to walk this earth as a human to show us that anyone can live a pure life..they can repent and be forgiven and turn their lives around....most would not follow Jesus example.
God loved us so much that he then allowed his own son to take upon himself the guilt and the same etc of every sin known to mana and take the punishment for it whish was death.
Jesus laid down His life for us........that is not reproducing God......that was Jesus taking our place..becoming one of us in order to teach us..and to die for us....

If Jesus was son of god, then it means god is made from the matter of his own creation. This raises some problems and I won’t get into it here because there are too many I wouldn’t know where to start. Obviously Jesus was only a human. Note also that Adam was “son of god” and so were many others. He was probably talking about a relationship. But look, he said “I am the son of god” and those literalists thought, “Well if god is his father, then Joseph cannot be…” so they had to invent spirits impregnating virgins and all sorts of nonsense to justify it. Talk about literalists. What can you do?

"WE" didn't " reproduce" a god. God came to earth to make things right, to free us from sin and bring us back into allignment with Him.He Gave up a part of Himself as a covenant that cannot be broken. We just have to accept that covenant and be saved. Its not rocket science, children understand this fact when it is shown to them.

John 1:1-18
The Deity of Jesus Christ:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
There came a man sent from God, whose name was John.
He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him.
He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.
There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John testified about Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'"
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
