a friend or a family member had a "demonic spirit" in their body? Would you disbelieve them, and or stop being friends with them, or ignore them and their "issues" or get them some help and stand by them?
What would you do? Why or why not?

I would follow the steps in the book by Neil Anderson. "The Bondage Breaker". One thing you need to be sure of is whether or not that person is really demonized or just has a mental illness. And make sure that you are certain that you have all the facts right. Too many people judge others by what they do not understand. Be patient... and be careful that you have the genuine article. Some people do more damage by false accusing others like at the Salem witch trials than getting the facts first before making a decision.

If it really were a demonic spirit and they were a friend or family I would stand by them and get help for them. If they were a stranger I would stay the hell away. I read once that you should not pray for someone who is a follower of Satan, it would be dangerous for them if you do.

As I do not believe in the existence of demons and spirits I'd get my family member the help of a highly qualified psychiatrist.

Stand by them and help in every way through prayer, taking them to a priest for prayer, blessing the house. I would never ignore nor distant myself from the person. A lot of people might not believe but it's very much real. It could happen. If one believes in God than how can they not believe in evil? That's a battle that has been going on since the beginning of time.

I'd start laughing, when he grew claws and tried ripping out my throat I'd smack him over the head with a broom stick go into an emergency room and declaw him

If he tried to bite I'd squirt water at him *demons hate water*
he'd learn to behave, and after I made it clear that he can't destroy me we shall walk around the block laughing like good old chaps!!!

***really you just have to show em whos boss, then they're very friendly and tremendosly loyal***

wait....did i just describe how to deal with a bad dog?...
and you people...just get possesed by a *holy spirit* and you can tire each other out!!! its really not that hard :D

well Im 21 and I used to never believe in stuff like that, I used to think it was psychological or something untill I experience something of the supernatural myself and as crazy as a demonic spirit may sound its real and you got to deal with it and the only way to fight it is with prayer and a strong faith in god , jesus crist and the holy sprit and it will go away and if it dosent then you need to go to a catholic or prodastant church and see a priest or something. As there is good there is evil and evil can go far as weird demon evil and it may sound like science fiction but take your friend very serious its a horrible experience theres many things that may have trigered a demon wigee board or witchcraft or voddo I dont know but please try to help him or her in the best way you can and everything should be ok with the help of god and jesus crist.

Say you want to take them on a picnic, but go to the nearest mental hospital. They obviously need some help, but praying won't get you anywhere. They need a large dose of Haldol and a bit of Lithium.

As I do not believe in demonic possession, my first thought would be an underlying illness...either physical or mental...urge them to get help and most definitely, support them.

What you need to do is to pray for that friend. Prayer is a powerful weapon specially against these demonic spirits.
