In your opinion, what is the best Jesus movie that has been made so far?

My vote goes to Jesus of Nazareth.

It had everything: a grade-A cast, a great script, it stayed true to doctrine without upsetting either Catholics or Protestants, and it also was presented in a way that modern, contemporary, secular audiences could relate to.

Along with the Ten Commandments, Jesus of Nazareth is probably one of the best religion movies ever made.

The History Channel ran "Jesus of Nazareth," "The Greatest Story Ever Told" ...and I think "King of Kings."

I love them all... "Passion of the Christ," ... all of them.
Even the ones with Religious threads like, "The Robe," "Ben Hur," "The Song of Bernadette," "The Next Voice You Hear," "The Cross and the Switchblade," "The Hiding Place..." There are SO MANY!

Peace hon... wish I could pick just ONE...

I agree with you. Jesus of Nazareth was the greatest Jesus movie so far.

You didn't have to sit and read everything in Latin and wonder what was going on in it like in the passion of christ.

It was also well put together and included everything in it. including the death of John the Baptist.

In some christian movies about Jesus that i've seen, the make Jesus seem like either an uncaring man or an overly compassionate man. Like for example on one movie, when Jesus was nailed to the cross, Jesus didn't stop screaming for atleast two minutes. Then, in another, Jesus pretty much didn't feel anything at all.

In the passion of christ, they almost beat Jesus to death. And can you explain why the devil was holding a baby?

Yep, Jesus of Nazareth was by far the best and i can't help but agree that The Ten Commandements (The first one, not that stupid second one that they remade) was by far the best religious movie ever

The Passion of the Christ or The Greatest Story ever told were good, but I agree that Jesus of Nazareth is probably the best.

Franco Zefferelli really outdid himself with that one.

properly, jewish human beings dont have accents. accents are in accordance to were someone grew up, so if a jewish individual grew up contained in the south he/she could have a southern accessory, in india, an indian accessory, and so on, yet there is not any acent that each and each and everyone jewish human beings have. yet i imagine what you're asking is 'why doesnt jesus have an accessory like the others contained in the action picture?' like why does he have an english or american accessory? to answe that question, im guessing the following i dont produce video clips, it will be to make him more advantageous reatable to western audences, an similar way he's often depicted with truthful epidermis and blue eyes. wish that helped
