I must admit and agree with you that the bible has many things that don't make sense.

I have spoken to a few atheists and they seem to think that my religions as well as well as all the others are like Christianity. They think my religion says that we lived with dinasaurs, the earth is 10,000 years old, etc......

I mean Have most atheists done there homework on religion.

I have done a religion test of 20 questions on this remarkable site.

At the end, it was revealed that I am a "Unitarian Universalism" by 100%.

Can anyone tell me in basic terms of what that is and what I seem to believe in.

I notice that there are only a few in here that actually refer to the Book and Vs. of the Bible when answering questions of
a religious nature. If you're so enlightened as to answer then
shouldn't a scripture accompany your reasoning??

First of all, I am not agiast Christians havving children or having them go to public school or whatnot if my wording came out that way.I was watching Ophra the other day and I saw a question that though the Bible should be tough in school. I disagree with this greatly. The bible is sopposed to be siritual and I think schools will make it a non-spiritual subject...I never realy though about that before. What is your opinion on the Bible in schools?

Everyone says that their god is absolutely without question the right god. How do you know for certain? Judging from answers to questions here on YA, everyone has their own idea of god. That makes about 6 billion different gods on our planet. How can they all be right?

Example: one god is all about love. one god is all about final judgement. one god is all about jihad. one god is all about hatred toward homosexuals. one god is all about creating global warming to punish us. one god sent his son to be crucified. Lots of other gods didn't.

If you say "I know in my heart", what makes your heart more reliable than your neighbor's heart? It seems impossible to me that everyone thinks they have the absolute right god, but no one can agree on what that is.

As a living being bound by the processes and instincts of evolution, isn't it natural that I should seek to breed as much as possible, isn't getting as many offspring as possible my main objective? So why not take child wives, why not take ten? Wouldn't that increase my chances of survival?

genesis 5:1-6 - this is the book of the generations of adam. in the day that god created man, in the likess of god made he him;
male and femaile created he them; and called their name adam, in the day when they were created. and adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name seth. seth were eight hundred years and he begat sons and daughters: and all the years that adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
and seth lived an hundred and five years.

ok, so it says adam lived 130 years and he lived 930 years. and seth lived 105 yrs and 912 yrs (gen 5:8). hopefully, those who believe man lived to be nearly 1000 yrs. back then see the contradiction here. as explained in gen. 5:2, adam also refers to the family line, much like surnames. so to say the men such as adam lived to be 930 years or more, in my understanding, is a misunderstanding of the bible. what do you think?
