Everyone says that their god is absolutely without question the right god. How do you know for certain? Judging from answers to questions here on YA, everyone has their own idea of god. That makes about 6 billion different gods on our planet. How can they all be right?

Example: one god is all about love. one god is all about final judgement. one god is all about jihad. one god is all about hatred toward homosexuals. one god is all about creating global warming to punish us. one god sent his son to be crucified. Lots of other gods didn't.

If you say "I know in my heart", what makes your heart more reliable than your neighbor's heart? It seems impossible to me that everyone thinks they have the absolute right god, but no one can agree on what that is.

None of the believers seem to realize that their answers don't really answer anything at all... they are just statements that beg the question all together.

There may be 6 billion different concepts of God, but there is only one True and Living God, and all of the different ways that people conceptualize who God is doesn't change who he is. Some people are wrong about who God is and some people are right about him. If God is then he is One and if people don't say the same thing about him then they don't know him. Job's friends were all chastened by the Lord but Job knew that his redeemer lives. God came to earth as a man. If a person has a question or doubt then they have a question or doubt. They don't have the truth. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that God will reveal himself to those who he foreknew and called from the foundation of the world and those will accept him. It could be you, or anyone else reading this question and answer. The answer lies in hearing the call and in responding in faith.

What makes you think everyone says their god is the right god? I don't think you know much about religious people.

I think they say, "My god is right for me." Nothing wrong with that. You seek a religion, you try one, if it feels right to you, if it makes sense to you, then you join it. If it's not right for you, then you move on.

"Judging from answers to questions here on YA" ... well, that's a big mistake.

"one god is all about ..." ... I think you also don't know much about gods. Why don't you ask a member of the clergy?

"no one can agree" ... who says it's a good idea for everyone to agree?

The question of what to believe in, is an individual question. I think every answer is correct. With the exception of twisted religions, such as Jim Jones in the Guyana jungle, or extremist Muslim terrorists, etc. I could name some other small religions that I have no respect for, but if they don't hurt anybody, then my opinion of them isn't worthy anything!

That would be a tough question to answer because you cant see the transformation of myself. There are great logical points to be made, beginning with "where did we come from" to "where did all this stuff come from". There are no respected scientist that believe Darwin, which only leaves intelligent design [God or aliens]. That narrows to just a few belief systems. Refine your question or research to find out Which God is true.

If He shows you and tells you, then you are the only one who can say, " for sure." No one else may take that as proof. In fact, they might think that you are either a nutcase or joking.

Did you ever meet Him? If the answer is no, then you will never know until then.

I don't have to wonder anymore. I hope you can someday. I really do.

im a Christian and i do not have real physical proof that God exists except for His creation around us...but thats not the kinda proof people are look for. I will say this...no Christian is ABSOLUTELY positive that God exists...because there is no real physical proof...but i can feel God there. ....many people would say this is non-sense...and its because they dont know what its like to be without God...and they dont know what its like to feel God's presence there. but thats why Christians have faith...i am ABSOLUTELY sure God exists in my heart...but as for physical proof...there really is none except for His creation and myself. anyways...thats why many religions have statues....because they want proof and i guess a statue fulfilles this. but that is why God does not allow statues of Him...because He knows what it leads to.....the worshipping of the statue and not the worshipping of Him. we think we are worshipping Him but it will just bring the temptation to worshipp the concrete laid out in front of us.

The answer to this question can only be made in the manner of wording that would be used in a philosophy class...

You can't *know* your God is the right God. In order to believe in a God you must have faith. Faith is defined as (according to Dictionary.com):

Belief that is not based on proof.

If you have proof that god exists, physical, tangible, undeniable proof that (your) God exists... Such proof does not exist mind you, there is no proof in the existance of any God...

Then you have no faith.

Faith is belief... Belief is not fact... There is a reason there is no proof of a Diety in the world... Because if we had proof there would be no faith... Only simple truth.

In this aspect I think that the best answer could be the following " If you have Faith in your God and order the Mountain to be moved to another place, it will be definitely moved as ordered " which means that whoever is one's God, if he has full faith in his God, that is the RIGHT GOD for him and he has to live according to the teachings of that God to achieve his internal life !
