I am interested to visit one of the churches, but need to find the right one. Give me lots of details like the: dress, rules, how the preaching goes on, and how the divine service goes on, what do you do on holidays like: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas...Etc.

Thanks.

I just recently became pentecostal. I couldn't think of a more perfect religion for me. There are many types of pentecostals. I classify them as being the old time and the new age. I am old time. This means I follow the bible. I wear skirts to knee for modesty and cause it says in the bible that women should be feminine and that we shouldn't wear anything that pertains to men. We have long hair cause it is our glory. We don't wear jewelry cause of the marerialism and how some are so very vein about it. No make up its a sin of vanity. Some believe in the trinity. We have water baptism, and speaking in tongues. I really enoy the services on Sunday. The pastor preaches straight out of the bibel. During services theres a lot of amens, clapping, singing, raising our hands. We do all the traditional holidays, except halloween. We celebarete just like anyone else does. Is this helpful? 1st Corinthians 11

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.

3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved.

6 For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.

7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.

8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man.

9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.

13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

16 But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of

Dress is whatever you feel comfortable wearing.
No rules, just worshipping God.
God leads the preaching, not man.
Holidays are not recognized except for the childrens sake. We don't believe in Christmas, or Easter, or whatever. We worship Jesus Christ, the divine Saviour, not man made holidays. The Bible does not say that Jesus was born on "Christmas," or rose on "Easter," and Thanksgiving is fine. We thank God for our families, and time to be together. Other than that, what kind of rules do you mean. God don't look at what you wear, whether you are man or woman. He sees your soul, not your body. Come as you are!

There are a wide variety of pentecostal churches, some are strict about clothes etc., others aren't. Mine is a moderately large one (about 1500 people) and you see people dressed anywhere from jeans to suits/dresses. On Resurrection Sunday (we don't call it Easter anymore), we usually have some type of play. Thanksgiving we have a food giveaway (also on Christmas) but no service. Christmas service again is a play or chorale. We don't really have rules, I think that's less of a pentecostal thing than it used to be (i.e. how to dress, no dancing, etc.)
