You have just stated what you believe in and what you don't believe in? So how could you be confused?
The point I am making is that all you have learned in your life has come from some one or some where?
Whether it be from higher education or sicentific material, some you have excepted and some you have rejected?
The not believe in catagory to me is 50/50. I don't believe in the afterlife, How ever The God thing might need some more looking into?
For you have used your common sense to get where you are right now? So use it now and think about this statement:
Every house, every thing that was ever built, had a builder? Every builder has a set of plans?
The one thing that I know you haven't done is ck the plans out that the master builder has for the earth? Heb 3:4
For example The Bible, at Job 26:7, speaks of God as “hanging the earth upon nothing.” Science says that the earth remains in its orbit in space primarily because of the interaction of gravity and centrifugal force. These forces, of course, are invisible. Therefore the earth, like other heavenly bodies, is suspended in space as if hanging on nothing.
The Master Builder in answering Job out of the windstorm, compared the literal earth to a building. (Job 38:4-7) Though the earth hangs upon nothing, it has, as it were, durable foundations that will not be made to totter, for the unchangeable laws governing the universe hold it firmly in place, and God’s purpose toward the earth has remained unchanged. (Job 26:7; 38:33; Ps 104:5; Mal 3:6) On the other hand, injustice and disobedience to God’s law in effect tear down the foundations that give stability to the land, causing the foundations of the figurative earth (the people and their established systems) to totter.—Ps 82; 11:3; Pr 29:4. So what's my point? It's that you have not been fair to yourself, you have made all these decissions without a back board to bounce things or thoughts back to you?

I don't understand why you want to be any religion, but if you insist, go here and take the quiz... http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html
This is a really great website that has all kinds of religions for you to choose from. You sound like you would be interested in metaphysical things. I highly recommend "The Power of Now" by Eckhard Tolle for you to read. Also, start meditating to tap into the energy that you believe in. It will change your life, and I promise you will start believing in god. (Not in a big teddybear grandfather in the sky way, but realizing that YOU are god.) I am willing to discuss this further if you like.

And you were doing so well until the last one...

I wonder: Before sexual reproduction, when there was no concept of male and female (at least on earth), did things in nature already give off masculine or feminine energy according to your beliefs?

I think you're confused a bit. If you believe in energy, and believe that energy cannot be destroyed only changed, then by default there must be some sort of afterlife, or more specifically, after this body energy existence. You are empirical, or scientific in your beliefs. Religion is confusing, most religions are bureaucracies which exist only to sustain themselves, not necessarily the higher power they were formed to worship. You need to read some of Joseph Campbell's writings. There you will find yourself, and your "religion."

Adjudging your narration, I conclude that you are a Believer !!! Whatever it is you believe in energy, Evolution, Science, etc. etc.
The same belief of yours is being named by others as belief in God....the difference is only in the naming !!!!!

Looks to me like a Spiritual Satanist, considering that it can actually be proved scientifically if you know enough about physics and general science.

Study various religions, like paganism, Buddhism, etc. and settle on something that makes sense to you logically and makes you feel you're learning the wisdom, altruism and compassion you want to learn.
