To mine understanding no. These passages both refer to the law containing "ordinances," or Moses' law, which was a ceremonial law governing the sacrificial system and the priesthood.

I am attending the stone setting ceremony (I'm not sure of the actual term) for a Jewish woman who passed away one year ago. As I have never attended such a service, I am hoping that someone might be able to fill me in. What should I expect? Are there any prayers that I should know. What is appropriate dress?

1. Joseph Smith killed two people right before his 'martyrdom'

2. Blood Atonement was once taught as official doctrine by prophets of the LDS Church but was later abandoned

3. Death Penalty oaths were required of Temple Patrons previous to 1990 wherein they agreed to have the Lord inflict violent deaths upon them if they revealed the nature of the endowment (out of respect, let's not explicitly describe these; even though they are abandoned, they are still considered sacred to the LDS faith)

4. Four men secretly buried a set of fabricated plates in Kinderhook, IA and presented them to Joseph Smith as authentic. He then proceeded to 'translate' them, and after he was halfway done, the four pranksters told everyone and several families left the Church because of it

5. The Book of Abraham papyri have been found and translated, and allegedly date to 2000 years later than Abraham, and contain nothing about Abraham

From the beginning, it seems that the Bible shines a bad light on sexuality (garden scene). Is this why they lash out at those with differing sexual preferences, those who express their sexuality openly, and even at those who encourage sexuality (film industry, publishers, novelty shops, etc.)?

There was a lot of bickering and arguing in the "motorsport" section whether nascar or F1 racing is better. Yahoo finally made subsections and seperated them. It's much better now.

Should Yahoo do the same with the religious section and create several subcategories such as christian, muslim, atheists, etc., etc.???

I've heard enough Tom Cruise and Jonh Travolta Scientology refrenences to last me a lifetime, so I finally decided to read Mr. Hubbard's book about Dianetics. It's no secret that Hubbard wasn't a huge fan of homosexuals and I'm not too sure on the church's stance about it. So here's my question: If YOU are a scientologist what's your stance on homosexuality and if your not do you have any info on the churches stance? And is it possible for someone to just read Dianetics for the self-help portions of the book?

One of the things Jesus said on the Sermon of the Mount was
to *Love your enemies*

*What challenge is it to love people that love you? the challenge is to love people that don't love you or hate you*

Most find this to be a hard concept to understand, so do you think we understand in todays world the *LOVE* Jesus was speaking about? or do you think as human beings we will never truly understand this kind of love?

Or does Forgiveness transpire into love?

I'm not pagan but I've wondered about this. Pagans, do you think it's acceptable to show a modesty with your religion? or to proudly wear the pentagram such as christians wear crosses and people of judaism wear the star of david? Do you think wearing the pentagram causes contraversey espiecally if you live in the bible belt? Do you think only a strong believer in paganism should wear the pentragram opposed to what wiccans call "fluffbunnies" which are the teens you see who don't really know all that much about wicca but .. well you already know what i mean.

Pagans, do you keep your views to yourself or let the world know?

*this isn't against pagans or anyone i just wanted to know what pagans think about wearing of the pentagram*
