they act like it is a crime! they start to tell you how ''the devil has blinded your eyes'' and how you are going to hell and what the bible says. why do christians think they are right and everyone else is wrong. furthermore, christians cannot even agree amongst themselves what form of christianity is right such as baptist, catholic, or whatever which only shows how dumb the dusty book is. not to mention the millions of contradictions. not all christians do but the majority does, i've had it done to me too much to count on hand.

Everyopne is born atheist. you are taught everything you learn by someone else. you christians need to start thinking for yourselves sometimes and stop trying to smear dirt on other people just because they don't accept a 'white' man (as he is mostly portrayed)nailed to a cross! bet you people don't know yourselves. because ite bullsh*t, duuhh!

I respect atheist in general, because I dont think that everybody should believe what I believe, but I've noticed that there are a lot of altheist here asking questions quite offensive towards religion. I dont like baseball at all (in fact, I hate it), so, wouldnt it be crazy if I go to the sport section in YA and ask "why do people like baseball, it is so incredibly stupid?". I mean, since I dont like sports, I dont go to that section to bother people who like it, then why do SOME altheist care soooo much about us christians asking questions about God here? If you dont want to believe in God, and you want to ask or answer something respectfully, it is ok, but if you just want to annoy those who think diferent.... dont u think u a shrink?

I am tired of the gay bashing by Christians. Why can't they accept that there is other views on gays beside their own? Why can't they understand that their bible is misinterpreted and used as a tool to cause hate and fear? Why are they so closed minded they cannot accept anyone else interpretation of the Bible except the most rigid and hateful view? Why does it have to be their interpretation? Why does it have to be their way or no way? I would like to hear what others think about this topic.

i think thats the answer......my earlier questions came off as way evil, didnt mean them too, just wondering what would fix the problem.........its either this, abortion or sterilization. and the implications of all three suck, but obviously, some people cannot control themselves.

it seems every time some people are confronted with certain horrible acts in certain scriptures, they respond "that was in the old days".
Does that mean we've evolved?

My daughter started kindergarden this year and they do ever thing to be so politically correct--it was winterbreak(not Christmas)--and egg hunt not (easter egg). Which is fine but seems a little overboard. When the Founding Fathers said church and state seperate they did not say--We had to keep God out completely--what they meant was they did not want something like "The Church of England" which was involved in everything.

Is it right to justify murder with..."God told me to do it....", don't you think it's wrong when someone truly strong in their faith feels that they have to murder someone to please God? Why does God need to test the faith of his followers anyway?

Serious answers please, none of the "He wasn't a follower of God, blah blah blah..." crap.

Seems like people used to anoint all the time.
Why don't we anoint anymore? Maybe we could bring it back....you know, kind of a fad, like hip hugger pants.

Mormons don't beleive in the same Jesus...?

How is the Jesus Christ, Savior of the world, Redeemer of mankind--The same who died for our sins, who set up his church, the one who provided the atonement so we could gain eternal life and exaltation--The same Lamb of God and Only Begotten Son... who lived a perfect mortal life and who now sits on the right hand of God...any different than the one 'Christians' believe in?

Against the advice of friends, family and myself, my sister married a "former homosexual". He said he was saved and transformed by an ex-gay ministry. None of us really bought it but she was very much in love with him and compared to former boyfriends, who were abusive he seemed much more sensitive and giving, despite being just a tad effeminate.

Two years into the marriage, the sex diminishes. I keep quiet when she complains to me. Then this year, he cheated on her with a man. He said it was a "slip up" and has gone back into the ex-gay programme to deal with it. I am trying my best not to tell my sister, "I told you so." because she is really devastated. I also do not want to offend her religious belief but she wants to take him back and I CANNOT watch her get hurt AGAIN! She is my baby sister and now children are involved!

I know these programmes do not change people straight. Where can I get some well researched information on this from an expert she would respect?
