The guy was raised with the Pharoah! His mother put him in a basket and the one Pharoah's barren sister found him floating on the river. So, she took him and he was raised with all the other kids in the royal family. When he gets older, he leads battles for the Pharoah, gets married to a Zipporah (the only mention of her in the Bible is a verse that says 'That ? wife of yours...'), finds out he's Hebrew, kills some worker, then flees to the desert and is befriended by a Hebrew tribe.
Then, after x amount of years, the Exodus happens.
There's a History channel show called 'Decoding the Exodus' that I thought was great but I don't think it covers his childhood. The Bible doesn't a lot either.

I saw the first part of 'The Prince of Egypt'-not very accurate at all. Information about his wife was found in a Jehosophats historic writings. His claim is that Moses met Zipporah on one of his battles against her father's area/tribe. In the Disney cartoon, he desn't kill anyone and meets his bride after he flees.

No....he was raised by the Pharaoh's daughter...His people the children of Israel were slaves. He killed an Egyptian that was harming a slave and ran away into the desert and became a sheep herder but he wasn't ever a slave.

Actually, he wasn't. He was raised as Pharaoh's grandson- do you think he would be a slave???

He ran from Egypt after killing an Egyptian taskmaster for treating the Jewish slaves cruelly and fled to the desert, where he worked as a herdsman for his father in law.

Then he saw a burning bush and his life was never the same again. . . .

the prophet Moses {AS} he was a slave of God. Just like all the Prophets and Angels. This is what the true believers should also like.

Yes, when he realized that the Jewish slaves were his brethren, he abdicated his Egyptian authority and position and became like his Jewish brothers.
