is islam is about peace and niceness why is it mainly in islamic countires you get honour killing, sharia, etc


Seen many here who claim forced arranged marriage, Female genital mutilation, executing teenagers for sex outside marriage or being gay,honour killings, male family memebers sexaully bullying and controling female family members


etc etc


Has nothing to do with islam, that islam is nice fluffy, peaceful and into womens rights.


Well usuing pattern based logic or how it works in practice...

How do you explain why all this only really happens in islamic countires and not in sexaully open countries lik the Netherland or germany?

& is not the norm in non islamic cultures.


& why things like sharia law, sharia courts, ministries of vicve and virtue, figures like 95%+ girls genitally mutilated in countries like Somalia.


Enforced & pushed by islamic leaders who rule these countires and accepted as the norma along with removing girls identity in bukas.

I know you've heard a lot about bad things that muslims in name have done. I as a proud muslimah want to enlighten you and get your honest opinion. These verses are saying to leave those who don't fight you about religion alone. These are just a few. There are many more verses telling you to do good and get along, and fighting verses when put in context are about self defense. NOthing to do with attacking innocent people. What do you good people think of them?

I don't know how one would put together an expiriment, but what if we were able to scientifically prove that not only do spirits exist, but that there are people who do talk with them.

I think he does. The Bible mentions plagues being caused to kill off the wicked. I know in this politically correct society that this is not a popular thing to say, but if you read the Bible, it's in there.

Why should it be any different today? I think hurricaine Katrina was caused in part by Mardi Gras. It's only a matter of time before more cities are attacked because of their sins.

Can anyone tell me what denomination Dr. David Jeremiah falls under? I have watched his television program "turning point" on several occasions and get a lot out of his life application teachings. I would also like to know what part of the country his local church is in. This question addresses two kinds of "the religious"

1) Those who define themselves as part of an organized religion, usually Christianity. Guys, get a GRIP. All I see on this and other websites is garbage like "I can prove God exists, take that atheists!" or "because God is awesome" Believers are called to evangelize, not thrust in others' faces.
"But, but Justin, the apostles did it!" WRONG, they only did so when forced or when talking to those willing to listen (even then will well organized, devoloped arguments). These non-believers won't listen, leave them be.

2) Those who don't believe in God. Although not an organized religion, the belief that you don't believe is a belief in itself. Hence, a religion. Get a life and quit taking every opportunity to bash believers. For crying out loud, respect people enough to lay off unprovoked attacks on those who don't think like you.

You know who you are.
I believe what I believe and just want to live my life.

It is not in the bible at all. Every place the bible talks about the actual trib. it calles it a 3.5 year time period. there is a final 7 year period but the trib. starts at the half way point.

Do Mormons still believe this ??

"the person of our Father in Heaven was begotten on a previous heavenly world by His Father; and again, He was begotten by still more ancient Father; and so on, from generation to generation, from one heavenly world to another still more ancient, untill our minds are wearied and lost in the multiplicty of generations and successive worlds. "

Since the LDS teach that the universe never had a beginning in time, this view implies that there are an infinite number of mormon gods, each one whom had another god as his father. The particular God who is the god of our earth is just one link in an infinite chain of mormon gods.

QUESTION. How can this be true, An infinite regress is not possible

Jared Diamond's Guns Germs and Steel outlines a few of the reasons why religion was invented, specifically to allow governments to motivate the population into suicide missions . . in wars, and to control the wealth through taxation and bringing the priest class into it, forming early kleptocracies. Are modern religious states essentially set up for the same purpose? Is George Bush's America a plutocracy - where Haliburton and the like have replaced the priestly class of old? Is it just me or do Republicans always run on the platform of eliminateing abortion . . . only to control all branches of government . . and not make it illegal . . . and then to in the next election cycle . . rale the religious theists into a frenzy that if not elected some democrat will kill babies?

The choosen ones are the trash of societies world.The ones who have been beaten by words and do not care if they live or die for Jesus.The ones who go through a living hell and still love Jesus.The bible calls these the remnants.They do not follow people or care who or how people treat them they still love and forgive everyone and Love Jesus and praise and follow the Holy Spirit no matter what the consiquences are.Jesus may let the devil have at them.All to show the devil how there are some that you can do anything to but these ones still love me.It is not about church.It is about having unconditional love for Jesus with persecution and loving everyone with forgiveness in your heart knowing that we are no better than them.To be humble is to know you mess up and not to be afraid to admit it hidding nothing.THE REMNANTS
