The Rede is actually, in it harm none do what thou wilt. If a wiccan has an affair with a person who is married without the consent of that person's spouse then it is causing harm. But on the other hand, if a wiccan is having an affair with some one with their spouses consent then where is the harm.
Of course a person may feel hurt when the affair is consented upon by all involved, but that is that person's fault for not expressing his/her feelings appropriately, and no bad karma should come to the wiccan who had the consent from all involved in an affair, ie: his/her spouse and the spouse of the other person in the affair.

I love my husband, and could never consider cheating on him. I know it would kill me if he did it. Besides, he's all I need.. no point in looking elsewhere :)

After all.. we're both adults, and I was always of the opinion that one should really think about what they do BEFORE they do it. Being in a committed relationship should hold fast no matter the religion. Whether or not he's Christian and I'm Wiccan.. I made a promise to him, as he did to me, and I respect that promise.

So, yes.. adultery would hurt him, just as it would me. Also, most Wiccans would probably keep in mind the "Three fold rule"... whatever is done will return three times over.. good, or bad... and I wouldn't want that hanging over my head.

That said... I know some "swingers" (i.e. folks who practice sex freely with other couples)... BUT... that's between consenting adults.. so, everyone knows who's with whom, and feelings tend not to get hurt (although that could happen).

Not wiccan, but will say that adultary hurts both people involved, their children if they have any, their spouse, and all of the people they have to lie to.

Thou shall not commit adultery is a law of God. God does exist and should be heeded. His laws prevail above all others--especially those written by man. The only question that should remain there is IF the bible was written by man for his own purposes or IF it was written by man under the direction of God. The individual's faith would be the determining factor.

Wiccans cannot do whatever they want, there are more limitations than you think.

Free will cannot be bypassed. There is the threefold law, and many other things are kept in mind.

And, you question is stupid. Of course adultery is hurting someone. And, your questions has many flaws in it.

harm none, it's harm none.... and yes, it does harm. and really, people like to think that the rede gives you free reign to go do anything you want, when you really think about it, it is more selective in what you can and can't do than your 10 commandments.
