666 - A lot of people say it doesn't mean much. A lot say it's evil, but they don't really say why. Christians know the reason it's evil - it's the mark of the beast. What I want to know is, what does everyone else think, and why?

If a believer (in God) sometimes doubts if God exists, then do atheists sometimes doubt if God does not exist?
...thanks...

My parents are Christian, but we don't go to church. I'm wondering, why do some people count on God to solve all their problems? I don't have a job. I'll sit here and pray that I will get one. People hate me. I will now sit in a corner and pray that I will be miracuosly be loved. How can you devote yourself to and love someone you can't prove really exists? Is it like this safety net, as in if everything is bad in your life you can "still be loved by Jesus?" And also, why would god be so upset if you don't believe in him? We're supposedly HIS creation right? If your children ran away from home screaming "YOU'RE NOT MY PARENTS!" would you really have an urge to put them to eternal imprisonment in hell? I don't think so. Not meaning or trying to offend anyone here, you all got your opinions, so let me hear them. Thanks all!

For years I struggled with overeating and a sugar addiction. Couldn't shake it for anything in the world. Like most addictions, the cause is always deeper. Long story short, the Lord released me from both, and one day it was if I had never struggled with either. I had tried everything, and nothing helped despite all the effort I put forth. When God sets you free, He takes care of it all. These are just two of many changes I've had. What about some of you?

I hear that they want to be considered a sect of Christianity but I can't do that. Their beliefs are very unChristian. Black people being black as a punishment for rejecting God. America as the new Holy Land. Whites here before Indians. We will each be little gods over a seperate universe in the after life. Jesus and Satan are brothers. etc... I wonder if others here consider them Christian or not?

I have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast the remaining bit of questions today. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE BACK YOUR ANSWERS UP WITH REFERENCES TO SCRIPTURE, THOELOGICAL QUOTES, ETC. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can quote. think of it as an interview.

Did you know that women have a lot more rights in the religion of Islam then you knew about? Main ones are that it's not her duty to cook, nor clean. And while in most cases it's natural for a mother to care for her young, in those odd cases where that instinct just isn't there, she isn't even obligated to do that? Here are just a few of women's rights in Islam. What do you think of them? And it also disspells the FGM myth, because it has no place in Islam. How can she have the right to sexual satisfaction from her husband if her pleasure button is missing?

Following are just a very small fraction of rights, which Muslim women have!

1. The RIGHT and duty to acquire education.

2. The RIGHT to have her own independent property.

3. The RIGHT to work [job or business] to earn money, which she keeps it.

4. The RIGHT to equal reward for equal deed and/or work.

5. The RIGHT to express her opinion.

Sometimes, wonder what in the world God is trying to teach me! It cyclicaly repeats in my life- people who are less? in ways, than myself- less experience, and less many good (if I may believe so) character traits... are often put up on pedestals around me. When I was younger, I GOT JEALOUS.

Now, it's just annoying. Example: The girl next door is constantly praised for her great singing voice, but I know that she does evil things! when no one is looking- beyond anthing normal...but who would believe it?

As an adult, people with critical minds?/hearts, loose lips,
all this and more- and much more-are often those I discover ar the, "new boss"..., or the new person I must learn to work with. Sometimes, they start out nice- then get nasty.

What is God trying to teach me? Humility? I can accept that, I just want some objective imput here.
