Sometimes, wonder what in the world God is trying to teach me! It cyclicaly repeats in my life- people who are less? in ways, than myself- less experience, and less many good (if I may believe so) character traits... are often put up on pedestals around me. When I was younger, I GOT JEALOUS.

Now, it's just annoying. Example: The girl next door is constantly praised for her great singing voice, but I know that she does evil things! when no one is looking- beyond anthing normal...but who would believe it?

As an adult, people with critical minds?/hearts, loose lips,
all this and more- and much more-are often those I discover ar the, "new boss"..., or the new person I must learn to work with. Sometimes, they start out nice- then get nasty.

What is God trying to teach me? Humility? I can accept that, I just want some objective imput here.

It's good that you have noticed your hardships are cyclical. Perhaps that is because you are not learning the lesson you need from those circumstances. You will be presented with your problem until you learn what you need. Then you move on. Do not worry about other people. They are on their own journey.

Heres an experience I had today. When I came home from Sacrament Meeting (I'm Mormon), I saw my new neighbor's nephew working on a moped. On the back of the moped was a faked moped license sticker. I asked him if it was his moped and if it was licensed. He answered "No need brah, this one no need license." I informed him that I was going to call the police to see if they could help him get a license for it, and he got all salty.

I went home and prayed about this. Got the go-ahead from Holy Ghost, so I called the police. They came over and checked the VIN on the moped, only to find that it was filed off. So they confiscated the moped. As a result, my neighbor was quite pissed off at me. She called the landlord (I am the landlords site property manager) and complained. The landlord called me and scolded me. I told him that all I was doing was reporting information to the police about a possible stolen vehicle, as hundreds of mopeds are stolen every year in my community.

Thus, for 'choosing the right' and following directions from my own conscience and prayer, not to mention performing a civic duty (the reason why 1 out of 10 vehicles are stolen in Hawaii every year is because no one does anything about the theft rings), I got treated disrespectfully by everyone except the police, who confiscated the moped.

I called my LDS friend, who also scolded me. I could whine about life being unfair, but the truth is, I can live with myself today because of my actions, and because of this, can live further within the principles of my Faith. In comparison to this, any sense of life 'being unfair' doesn't really matter too much.

For inspiration, I read 2 Nephi 4, Alma 39, D& C 121-22.

First of all, I know how you feel, I have felt that way lots of times or at least similar to how you describe. I get hurt by the suffering I see on the news. And the depth of how bad things keep getting. Crime increases and becomes more severe. Disease is on the rise all around us.
Global Warming boggles my mind. It can be so sad . And yet, I too see the need to be humbled by GODS patience even with me. I am not perfect, no where close. I need to exercise endurance, and be strong for my faith. I need to push hard at learning , reading the Bible in order for me to ever get answers to my questions I have floating about in my head. And in my heart. It is hard on all of us. And some more than others. Hang in there and pray for GOD to help you with these things. And ask for meekness and humbleness. In a world puffed UP with Pride this is a challenge but One we can beat if we ask for help. My heart goes out to how you are feeling. Hang in there.

It sounds to me like he's trying to teach you a couple of things, (1). To start looking at life in a more positive way. (2). To learn to do your best without always seeking praise. (3). To get over that spirit of jealousy. And (4). To stop wasting time wondering if life is fair. Life is not fair my friend, but neither is God's favor when you line up and agree with his will. I want you to trust me on this.

We are not simply humans. We actually are spirits from heaven. Our stay here on Earth is temporary. When we die, we will return to our home to have eternity with God, or have it with Satan in hell.

Do you feel comfortable when you stay in a hotel ? No place is better than home. Sometimes we feel life is not perfect, simply because we are hotel guests here. The good news is it's temporary. Compared with eternity, 70 or 80 years is very very short, (but very important.)

This world sucks because of sin. Jeremiah 17:9 " The heart is wicked above all things and desperately wicked , who can know it ?". James 4:10 " Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord , and he shall lift you up ".

You got the reap what you have sown.
You got the devil going around seeking whom he may devour.
You got Chance happens to all people.
Take your pick.
Only GOD can tell you the reasons WHY something happens.
We can only guess. (unless GOD tells you specifically).
Hope this helps.-

Oh, almost forgot, you got GOD trying to help you all the time too, for good stuff!

If you have to believe in God at least believe in a sovereign God. Life is far worse in other places.
