My daughter wants to sponsor a child and found God's Child on the web. They are based in ND and run a school in Guatemala. They accept whatever amount you can afford to give on a monthly basis.
I would like to be able to trust that they are legit but in today's world one has to be careful!
Anyone out there heard of them or had any dealings with them?

There is a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammad where he ordered Muslims to KILL anyone who leaves Islam?

(1) Was there a reason for prophet Muhammed to give that order?

Women make up silly reasons for wearing a French man's invention called high heels. Heels are bad for your back, hurt your feet, and hinder your ability to escape danger, but women claim they wear them to "look taller", to "look stylish", or simply because "they want to." The truth is, they remain a pervasive part of womens' wardrobes because they make the female butt and legs more attractive to men. Over the centuries, men have exploited the human female's sex drive and desire to find a mate, making them forgo common sense, even at the cost of their own health and safety. And, the amazing part is that women BELIEVE they are wearing high heels by choice.

Simply brilliant.

Is it so inconceivable then to believe that religion is another clever invention of men who want to control and manipulate people for their own desires? Don't the faithful also think religion is good for them, and it's by their own choosing?

Yeah, i know this has the potential to go terrible in just a couple posts...But i am curious about religion. I wasnt really ever raised one way or another. My mother was raised one way, my step father the other, and my bio father was raised a completely different way. My mother decided that i should be allowed to choose my own religion when i became of age. I have studied a bit of catholic/christian/aetheist religions, but i wanted to know what the best religion is in your eyes, and basically why you think so. I'm really looking for as many options as possible, so i can research them myself, in my own time. Thank you :)

I don't believe there was any god of any sort, but i do believe in heaven, just no god. But when I told my friends that I didn't believe in god, they try to make me believe in god? My parents believe in god but though I am young, 15, I still have my own belives, so why do people try to make me believe is things that I don't.

Everyone I know has a relgion. I don't have anything to do with gods, or worshiping. The only things I do are celebrate Christmas, Halloween, and Easter. But I don't pray or anything, I mostly get presents eat, a good dinner and that is it.

i just did i quiz about what religion fits your beliefs the most, and i got satanism! the first thought that came to my head was no! because i love animals and i would never worship the devil! even though i don't believe in god! but i would never take my chances!...but then i looked into it more and to me it was somewhat of a misunderstood religion and i thought it was quit interesting, so tell me some things that you know about satanism as an religion....and if your are a satanist...BETTER! tell me what your beliefs are in it!

I just don't get why God would make us so that we needed saving. You can come up with reasons, but if God is all knowing and can see the future, he'd know what was happening and make us accordingly. It's not like we couldn't have freewill and still be good. God could have made us however he wanted.

So why should I
a. want to be "saved" by a God that specifically created me to where I would need to be "saved" by him to be good enough to not burn in hell forever
b. need to be saved if God is good? Why would a good God send anyone, especially someone he loves to eternal damnation?
c. ever want to worship a God that would even allow me to go to Hell, even if I wanted to jump in myself?


Please forgive me, but I really don't understand it. I know people mean well, but it's just not a logical position for someone to put me in.

why? Why do you reject your creator your Father? His love is more than what our human minds can fathem! Why do you refuse him in schools in our whole world? He loves you! There was a man who was imprisoned for his wrongs. The next day he received a letter offering him a full pardon. He rejected it. Every day for many years he received a letter offering him a full pardon, and he rejected every one. Do you feel sorry for him that he was never pardoned?

Please consider that every day God offers you a full pardon for all of the things you ever did wrong. No strings attached, just accept the pardon God offers and someone (Jesus Christ) has already paid everything for you. He said "It is finished." No hate here, no condemnation, just love and acceptance for you, and pardon. Will you accept His pardon? I have a love for you, or I would not have taken the time to post this, Jesus Christ loves you or He would not have died for you. Please accept his "full pardon" will you?
