There was a man who was imprisoned for his wrongs. The next day he received a letter offering him a full pardon. He rejected it. Every day for many years he received a letter offering him a full pardon, and he rejected every one. Do you feel sorry for him that he was never pardoned?

Please consider that every day God offers you a full pardon for all of the things you ever did wrong. No strings attached, just accept the pardon God offers and someone (Jesus Christ) has already paid everything for you. He said "It is finished." No hate here, no condemnation, just love and acceptance for you, and pardon. Will you accept His pardon? I have a love for you, or I would not have taken the time to post this, Jesus Christ loves you or He would not have died for you. Please accept his "full pardon" will you?

I accept your pardon, I have no ill will toward you. I only ask that you have no ill will toward God. Simple enough?

Before everyone yells at you that they don't need a pardon, let me say that you are a radiant being of light motivated by the desire to bring joy to others. Bless you and thank you for your assistance.

In your hypothetical prison situation, of course the man should accept the pardon.

But there's a big flaw in your religious parallel: There is no scientific proof that religion is better than fantasy. And the deity described in the Bible is horribly cruel and sadistic towards his followers.

It's not the preaching that gets me. Everybody wants to prove a point. It's the fact that there's no proof, and your story is laced with the implication that I am going to suffer for eternity for holding a different viewpoint than you.

Pardon? For what? I haven't done anything other than be born, exist, and attempt to continue surviving.

This guilt complex is one of the most insulting things about Christianity, and it's probably one of the main reasons for societal breakdown in the post - Christian era. It's also simplistic and ill thought out.

If you are seriously going to argue that I'm as guilty as the most venal of criminals for the minor mistakes I've made then I advise you to take your childish mythology elsewhere. Humanity is not inherently guilty. We are simply beginning to wake up from or 2000 yr childhood, during which seriously psychotic people warped the mind and development of civilisation by whipping it and saying 'naughty, naughty, guilty, guilty' deserves punishment. Really, this type of rubbish is only one step removed from flagellation cults of the middle ages.

How many time have you been invited to accept reality, yet you cower in the back of your self constructed cell, screaming at us to shut the door. It is only the light of the day shining in.
No need to fear. You can release the chains of religion you have bound yourself with.
Why do you not Pardon Yourself and Chose Reality.

So, this guy who was imprisoned for his wrongs, maybe he rejected all the pardons because he knew he'd done wrong and was willing to take the consequences. I'd call that fairly up there for moral integrity myself.

I simply don't agree with you. It's not like I believe God is giving me this pardon and I say no. I just don't believe I need one.
