What brought you to the Wiccan religion? How long have you been a Wiccan? Are you a solitary or in a covan? Which do you prefer?

Say, people living deep in the heart of the Amazon jungle? Do they go to hell too? If so, isn't it kind of mean of god to send people to hell simply for living in an isolated area?

I do believe in Christ. But already I have been condemned by someone in here as a hell bound non-believer just because I DARE question or engage discussion about the various aspects of Christian doctrine and biblical interpretation.

Does it mean that when certain people say, "Accept Jesus" what they REALLY mean is, accept MY church's doctrine and biblical interpretation, our political stance, our social stance etc.?

and Why? I can think of 5,6,7 who I (and God) favor; but, I'd like to know yours. As I see that the muslims are posting a lot of stuff about women; we Christians should be addressing one half of the population too.

And God did great and epochal changing things with 'women of the Bible'.

So, I'd kind of like to honor them by: naming them, telling the approximate century they lived in, teaching or explaining 'why' what happened in their lives was great, courageous, atypical or epoch changing; and/or how their faith, courage and actions 'helped' God correct the mess that the evil ones' made of the world; as well as how their actions caused men/women to evolve.

Hint: God gave a female (something???) *Hate to say goddess** about a 2,700 year head start; to establish the fertility cults, then He started working earnestly with Abram and women.

If so... the old testament does say that an imposter would come after Him (the Messiah) and claim to be Him and many will be deceived by him (the imposter), believing that he is who he says he is.

What if Jesus Christ was the real Messiah that was prophecied about and the one that you are expecting to come is the deceiver.

I know that we all rely on faith to drive our beliefs in God.

Im just really curious to know what your thoughts are regarding this.

Thanks
.

If, according to the Bible, my relationship with Jesus isn't based on the things I've done, but how well I know Him, and if, also according to the Bible, I get to heaven by having a personal relationship with Jesus, also not by the things I've done, then why does the Bible say that I'm going to hell for having sex with my boyfriend?

A friend and I came up with a theory but we're not sure if there is some kind of religion or people that think of this as an actual theory:

Since energy is neither created nor destroyed we will never cease to exist. When we decompose are body will become carbon and go back into the earth and form more organisms which will become living things. Your concious will die but your energy/body will become something else.

I don't believe in god but this theory is pretty much something i think is interesting.

WOW! I am so glad to be 37 and no kids, for I see how kids are today and have watched my 2 step brothers grow up the same way. If I had a kid today that acted like most I see, they would never leave home, they would own not one item and they would be home schooled and do chores till they passed out for that nights sleep. I wouldn't put up with it, but thats me.

When is spring break over so normalty can return to the daily web experience? Anyone know? Anyone else waiting with me?

Will the madness ever end!?!?! (know the movie? or is it too old for most of you? lol)

Here is what I have experienced within the Christian faith

1. Christians do pick and choose what they will follow from the bible and what they will not. Isn't that relativity?

e.g.

Christians do not follow ALL the rules from the bible nor believe all of them are RELEVANT for our modern day time. For example, Paul did not speak out against the atrocities of slavery but he urged slaves to be obedient to their masters in Titus 2: 9-10. Does that mean it is wrong for slaves today to rebel and seek freedom? Paul also reflected the perception of women as lesser creatures who had to be taught and should not seek to lead. Read 1 Corinthians 14: 36-36 and 1Timothy 2:11-15, but there are female preachers and pastors (Thank goodness!)

Obviously, moral relativism exists within Christianity does it not? And obviously the ONLY sensible way to interpret the bible is with relative common sense not fundamentalism. Do you agree?

I understand that thousands of years ago religion was the guide lines for life, religion was The Law. For good reason too, the church was a meeting place for the people, it was the Authority to ensure people were doing right by each other and was there to help people in need and most of all... Religions were created by US to explain the things we dont understand (look at the greek gods for example) Now in this age of enlightenment when we have Police and Welfare supporting the people. what do we need the strict guidelines for? Am i to believe that without a mythical being saying "no" that everyone would be overcome with the urge to start being amoral? start randomly killing people? I am not religious, u know what keeps me in line? when i do something mean i feel bad.. not because i'm scared of the "wrath of god" but because i know in my heart it's just not right. When will people wake up and believe in themselves again.
