I am a Wicca,
I have been for about 1 1/2 years, well i am a student so I've been studying it for about 1 1/2 years now I plan on getting a wiccaning in 2 months,
What brought me to wicca was a high preistess, she was very peaceful and i thought i wanted to be like that.
I am a solitary witch . i prefer being a solitary practioner.

I am Pecti-Witan (aka Hedge Witch, not Wiccan) a "solitary" practitioner of "the Old Religion", and have been for over 40 years. I do not know what coven life is like and have no desire to learn.
My denomination is more into divination and working with nature rather than worship and rituals. Tho I do have my own ways. I read tarot cards, rune stones and utilize a number of other tools for divination but would NEVER charge anyone for anything I do! Besides, I do not do "readings" or "cast spells" for others on demand. That sounds more like a con game to me!
Now as for what I did to start, well, it seemed to come naturally to me, (my mother was a witch and my great grandmother was the daughter of a Comanche medicine man) and I believe this is not my first life (nor the last) as a witch. I have always had a deep respect for nature and have an innate ability to communicate with animals. When I was very young my parents encouraged me to learn about all religions, so I did.
I hope you find the answers you were looking for.

I am, well not so much wiccan as pagan I guess, but same diff, right?
I discovered that the beliefs I've always held match up very well with paganism. And the first time I read "The Charfe of the Goddess" I broke down in tears. (I''m not normally a tears kind of person"
I've been practicing for over 10 years now, as a solitary. Most times I like it, sometimes I wish I had a group to learn from.

I;m not a Wiccan, but I do LOVE your beliefs. They're so kind and peaceful and caring... Just how i am... When i make the effort!
Wiccans rock!
Oh, and I know a Wiccan. She goes to my (high) school and sits at the reference section table in the school library during 3rd lunch, sometimes. With me and all the other crazy people!
By the way, I'm a Unitarian Universalist!

i'm pagan, but wicca brought me here over 10 yrs ago & i am highly influenced by it's theology, as well as pantheism & shamanism, among others. i'm very solitary, haven't practiced w/anyone since i lost my wiccan teachers 8 yrs ago and began to 'evolve' my beliefs.
