Author Barbara Brennan in the book Hands of Light describes shaktipat as the actual projection of the guru's "aura" on the disciple, whereby the disciple acquires the same mental state of the guru, hence the importance of the high spiritual level of the guru. The physiological phenomena of a rising kundalini then naturally manifests.

What happens during a shaktipat? Your views...

First of all it doesn't matter what you believe. Belief doesn't change reality.
Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That's not God's will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself -"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and ob

If humans today have the technology to create life from our DNA and clone animals, why can atheists not fathom an individual having this technology long before us and doing it in a similar, or even more sophisticated and complex manner? It's illegal, but a scientist could take my DNA and clone me to create life, so why should I believe human life couldnt have started this way too? And please dont say "cant pick and choose from the bible" because i know that the bible was written by man and contains contradictions, but that doesnt mean i am going to use it as toilet paper.

Consider this question without trying to reach into your religious doctrine. This question is straightforward and is not to insult, but to gain understanding.

Why do you believe?

If someone today told you that a person was healing the sick, turning water to wine, and performing miraculous miracles would you believe him? Probably not.

If you saw for yourself these miracles being performed right before your eyes, would you NOW be willing to believe that this person was for real? Probably not.

So why do you believe?

In my opinion, you’re not putting your faith in God. What you are doing though, is putting your faith in words written under 2000 years ago by extremely superstitious people. Added to this, it wasn’t all the information that you’re getting in the Bible. What you’re getting is doctrine that was edited by a committee that decided on what was and what wasn’t going to be put in the Bible. Then this information was controlled by a historically corrupt group.

I'm talking with a few different Catholics right now via email, and I showed them from the Bible why the Peter wasn't the first Pope, why infant baptism and/or sprinkling is unbiblical, and some other Catholic beliefs that are unbiblical, and several of them got mad and quit emailing me. Why is it? Can they not handle the QUOTING of scriptures directly from God's Word?

If not, what is it?

On Tv There was this Guru that said all seperation between us is an illusion, and that we are all one being....(Or something like that).
But What about our individaulity as ourselves. Do we really separate when it comes to spirituality or are we still the same (one being). This really confused me when i begun to ponder. But in a way i undrerstood what he(GURU) was talking about. And still i completly understand when it comes to us being different. But where do they come togather.
Some people say that there is no such thing as a normal person. But there are always exceptions, dosent that mean that it is normal to be different?

God (Elohim) the Father, Word & Holy Spirit.

Elohim is plural of El, so I think that El Shaddai is a singular aspect of El Shaddai. And that the Holy Spirit is the milk of the Word.

Yahweh Elohim is the Trinity name and also El Elyon (God Most High). The everlasting Name of the LORD God of Israel.

To explain a little more I've never been into God. In sunday school I listened to the stories as if they were fairy tales. The sermins were boring and still are boring to me so I daydreamed. I joined the Methodist church at 13 but never really cared. Sometimes I feel religous sometimes I feel more athiest.
Please don't give grumpy answers involving me going to hell. I believe those who say such a harsh thing will have bad stuff happening to them just for saying something so cruel.

What I mean is that what if God created everything in the beginning, wound it up, and let it run it's course, only coming back to make repairs and regular maintenance?

In your opinion, is this a plausible explanation of God?
