To explain a little more I've never been into God. In sunday school I listened to the stories as if they were fairy tales. The sermins were boring and still are boring to me so I daydreamed. I joined the Methodist church at 13 but never really cared. Sometimes I feel religous sometimes I feel more athiest.
Please don't give grumpy answers involving me going to hell. I believe those who say such a harsh thing will have bad stuff happening to them just for saying something so cruel.

I still am a member since I don't know who to get out of it. During the lectures before the little comfermation ceremoney I listened to the half listened to the lectures since I already knew all the stuff the now retired Paster Tufft was talking about. I never did read the Jesus stuff in the Bible that he told me to read. Plus reading the Bible isn't much fun since my eyes aren't 20/20.

Hmmm Agonistic. I was wondering what that ment. I assumed it ment overly religous.
By the way athiest Methodists are not evil. I'm just not deep into the religion is all. I knew I would get answers like this.

Funny thing is too when it comes to politics I tend to be a conservative. I'm don't have a loyalty to ether party. I vote for whoever I think is best and don't listen to what party they are from.

You can't be a half atheist or a half Christian. If you don't believe in a god, then you're an atheist. Attending a church doesn't make a difference.

By the way, nothing you've written in your question suggests that you're agnostic. But it would be pretty pointless to say that then expect you to accept my definition, wouldn't it? I suggest you look it up before you label yourself.

Well, some might wonder sometimes..what if Jesus wasn't Son of God?But this thought comes from devil. You must take this idea into consideration..as well as you take intoi consideration the atheists.

But when the things go wrong , I was sure God existed. After giving birth to a child I never doubted .Anyway the moments when I doubted were just seconds..the moments when satan temptates probably.

Don't get upset when you here about hell. They say it because they are frighten too.
You are young,,,you have time to find the way to God.My advise is that even if the religion course looks like a fairy tale to you...remember when it looks so..that man and woman looks so handsome and so beautiful..that only God could do them.Actually they should deserve to live like in a fairytale ..if they didn'ts sin.

I am not half christian , I am sure God exists.I am Ortodox Christian, and even I am afraid of church...because I lived in comunism when Bible was prohibited in schools and I heard the word ''angel ''only in songs and books. Now I read the lives of saints..and I see angels are just as real as the people.

So , don't live in fear...about hell. But try to do only good things. At least if you don't accept as a complete truth that God exist, you have to accept that being moral is the perfection.Phylosophycally....

A person who is Not Sure whether there is a GOD or not is considered to be an Agnostic. I am not sure that you are Agnostic from what I am hearing. My wife and I were married in a Methodist Church. My grandmother was also a Methodist as were a number of her relatives. My parents became Christians but were not very strong in their faith and she is completly bedfast. My wife and I have been married for 31 years and we became Non-Denominational Christians over twenty years ago. We have three children and one grandchild. It is my opinion that if you are not pleased with the services at the local Methodist Church then you should explore a Non-Denominational Church as we attend. We follow ONLY the BIBLE and have no other Denominational man-made commands upon our members. We meet twice on Sundays and partake of the Lord's Supper then as we are find in the New Testament examples. We are also commanded to give as we have been prospered and do so on Sunday (the first day of the week) also. Our church is very scriptural and we discuss with anyone who has questions about our religious beliefs with an open Bible and must be able to give a Biblical reference for our ideas. Have a great day.

PS...I would be glad to assist you in finding another church at any time if you send me a note.
Thanks,
Eds

Hey Miss Misgggg,
I read your stuff on other categories they say the same bout you

I'm happy that you at least try
check this out!
There is no such thing as a half Christian
Rev. 3:15,16
But my advice to you is to find the Church
that is listed in the BIBLE RM 16:16; Col 1:24

Of course you can have a bit more joy in singing
and praising when you accept Him as your LOVE

You are what we call a NONCOMFORMIST
its a did or dat religion not the Christian Faith

Having a relationship with God is somewhat similar to that with a person. You get out of it what you put into it. When you come to meet Him on a personal level and not just going thru a set of formalities you realize just what we were created for. He has a plan and a purpose for each of us. All our experiences were allowed, not forced, to prepare us for that plan. Only as you choose to follow Him and really make Him a part of your life will you begin to experience God at that deeper and personal level.

But, none of it can even start unless you make a concious decision to accept Jesus as your savior and receive the gift of salvation that He made real on the cross. If you have and didn't get that emotional high that some might talk about, don't worry is still real. I didn't either, but I did feel the burden of all my guilt be lifted off my shoulders. It was almost like shackles were taken off of me. In short, when you do decide, you know you've been changed on the inside.

I would like to challenge you to jump into the Word of God and ask Him before hand to open your eyes to what He has for you. If you really want Him to He will do it. He desires to; it's a big part of our relationship with Him. But He doesn't play games with a dishonest heart. He is God and deserves our worship also and our humility before Him as well.

If we don't give our lives to God, then there is not much He can do with them. There is nothing that God wants more than to have you on the same page with Him, to be part of and involved in His plans in this world. If you are looking for excitement, that is where it can come.

You are what is called a luke warm Christian. This means you are not decided which way to go and is actually worse than saying you are an atheist or you are a Christian. Being a Christian goes beyond going to church and being bored. I did that my entire growing up years and felt as you did. Now, I love reading the bible and learn about God and what He wants me to do. I find advice for life in the bible. I go to a church where we have no traditions. We simply read the bible and study it. If you seek God, ask Him to come into your life and fill you with His Spirit. He will. People don't say you will go to hell, just because they want to hurt your feelings. It is a touchy subject with some and I don't know why. I myself know that if I don't accept Jesus will be not desireable.

you are an agnostic. I think all atheist are agnostics because they can't prove that God doesn't exist( vice versa). It all comes down to faith. If you don't believe what the bible says or just don't find interest then you're wasting your time going to church. If you believe that their is a God but just lack motivation then you should talk with a church member that you trust and relate to for guidance.

I don't believe that it is possible to be on both sides of that fence. You need to really take the time and figure out where your beliefs lie...if you are interested in pursuing a relationship with a higher power, then do so. If not, then don't. It's a waste of time to go through the motions of going to church, reading the Bible, and all that when you don't believe in most of what you hear or see.

Hmm. I would think you fall under either a spiritualist which forsakes an organised religion but believes the supernatural exists, or you're agnostic.

I don't think you'll find many others that consider themselves half and half though because it's a confusing statement, both theism and atheism kind of demands a commitment to beleiving one or the other, states of uncertainty or combining them fall under agnosticism.

It is good to question your beliefs.

If you believe in God, it is perfectly fine to not believe in religion. Decide what your feelings are about God and go from there.

I am agnostic deist. I believe there is a God but I cannot prove it. The God I believe in is not that hatefilled monster in the bible.

Obviously, you are intelligent enough to ignore the "born agains".

Stay away from the Pentecostals. Run as fast as you can.

E-mail me, I would love to talk to you.
