There is a story in Islamic history books about prophet Muhammed who told his companions about his desire to KILL one of his opponents (Ka'ab Ibn Al Ashraf). The brother of that man happened to be a Muslim and was among prophet Muhammad companions. He volunteered to KILL the man (his brother), and he took two other Muslims and went to his brother and called him out. Once his brother came out, the Msulim KILLED him and proudly returned to prophet Muhammed and told him what he did and prophet Muhammad PRAISED him.

The above horrible story makes me ask whether a religion can dominate someone to that extent?

Please, before you bulk all your hatred to me. Just think about it. Women taken as slaves. Most of the people mentioned have lovers and it seems OK. Could it be that this book was written by someone who just didn't like women ? What do you think ?

What scripture says that it is one man? Can't find it.

what do you think of apparitions like the image of jesus or mary appearing in wall,tortilla etc i always watch them on youtube is it really a message from God or devil in disguise? sometimes i feel it is really jesus thanks for your answer.

Instead of teaching our children that events within the universe have reasons within the universe, why not look for supernatural explanations? I'm wondering why the double standard is only being applied to evolution. Why aren't we teaching our American children that the theory of gravity is false? Why not teach them we're being held onto the planet by invisible loving arms of the earth god/intelligent hugger?

Why the double standard? Why not use a supernatural explanation for everything scientific?


(Cigarettes can't cause cancer, it's the angry lung god attacking the smoker; lightning has nothing to do with electricity, it's the weather sky god; mental illness can't be expained naturally, it's from supernatural demon possession)

Ad hominems in place of real explanations are welcome:) I know it's hard to answer unemotionally when defending something irrational.

WHAT IS THIS...?
you are making this more complex and confusing..!

okay then if you said that the evolution doesn't disprove the existence of god<<
and that you don't worship god and don't believe in the religions because like most of you answered
that they don't believe in God because there's no evidence for God, and the 'proofs' of God that are proposed are weak.

and some of you said that The concept of "a god" is logically impossible. It's not even universally defined
THEN how could you say that and you're not even sure about it....??
WHAT are you going to lose if you believed in him ...??

Having been on a couple of forums where atheist will tell me they believe in the constellation or believe in nothing or tell me what all is wrong with the Bible, but I ask the question I did because I don't understand why they will accept the teachings or readings from other human beings but not the Bible. It's very confusing as I trust NO MAN but yet I can read God's Word, have a peace if I am troubled, know that some day, I will see all of my loved ones that had accepted Christ before they died. I can read what other men have written but I don't see that their proof of a non existent god is greater than what God's word says. Sure it's hard to understand, but all we actually need to know is John 3:16 - this is what sums up what the Bible is about so if we take that one verse and forget everything else, would it make more sense to people who do not believe in God? I offended some with my previous question, but it was to make us all think, about how much we really do not know.

Chapter 37 is NOT figurative Israel being reborn. Ezekiel 37 is LITERAL descendants of Israel being resurrected to live with Christ and the Church. Read Ezek. 37:12 then Isaiah 29:16-24, 49:6 , 52:1-3 and 1st Cor 15:50- 54 and also Rev 11:11
