can someone please give me the names and 'roles' [ what they do, like protect..etc] that they have.

people, i know there dead and that you dont pray to them..im not stupid, im a Christian to and im just really interested in the Catholic and Patron Saints. And like isnt Saint Christopher supposed to protect and all, im just saying those kind of Saints. Im just curious is all

The bible tells us that all believers are saints. The catholic church though wanted to give this status only to some. Here is a website that tells you all about the catholic saints and what they are praised for.http://www.catholic.org/saints/

Some play offense, some defense. Still others are on what is called "special teams". I like Drew Brees myself. He went to Purdue as did I, and he plays quarterback. Brandon Villarreal and Rob Ninkovich also went to Purdue. John Carnack, the kicker is probably a pretty smart guy - he graduated from Notre Dame, which is a very hard school to graduate from.
If you meant saints as referred to in the bible, well that's ALL believers in Christ. Names like Bob, Carol, Richard, Rafael, Michael, Marlon, Alex, etc. Some protect, as their jobs may be in law enforcement or military. Myself, I'm a Realtor for my full time job.

Saints are people who set good examples for other people like Mother Teresa or Gandhi. Religious institutions call them Saints. Saints are people of the past who people of the present can emulate to everyone's benefit.

Francis of Assisi loved nature and so he is patron of ecologists. Francis de Sales was a writer and so he is patron of journalists and writers.

i'm a protantist Christian , but most of my friends are Catholic. If you tell them if they are a believer in Christ they are a saint, they look at you real funny.

Saints are people who are alive with Christ in Heaven. They were Catholic in life and therefore truly consumed the body blood, soul, and Divinity of Jesus and just as Jesus is alive those being of his body are truly alive too.
