Pixies are caricatures of the Picts, the people who lived in Scotland before the Scots. They were small, dark and had a tendency to paint themselves (a la Braveheart - thje Celts borrowed from them) - the word "picture" comes from them.
In reality, they were just as human as any other indigineous peoples, regardless of what any monotheistic religion believes about non-Aryan people.
