I once was cyber-chatting and someone said that there were no Mormons in HIS town. I asked, why do you think that? He said, because there was no listing in his Yellow Pages for the Mormon Church. I said, look for our official name, the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints. He was then surprised t learn that there were indeed MANY Mormons in his town!

Why do the same people that accept homosexuality think sex between a consenting minor and a middle aged man is disgusting? If you accept the first why not the latter?

“ None of those who call me, Lord, will enter the kingdom of God, but only the one who does the will of my father in heaven”. (Matthew 7:21)

“ I can not do any thing of myself. I judge as I hear and my judgment is honest because I am not seeking my own will but the will of Him who sent me.” (John 5:30)

I've noticed when I have asked questions to someone who is more knowledgable about a subject and they offer sarcasm to an opposing view point I find myself disappointed. When I've asked a question and I get an answer offered in humilty and they respect an opposing view point I find they have more credibilty to their own view.
It's like when someone on yahoo answers ask a question like" Why are_____people so stupid? My first thought is that I hope they are 12 years old, my 2nd thought is that I wonder if they realize how badly they come off.

Does anyone else feel this way?

Who am I? (What am I worth?)
Where did I come from?
Why am I here?
Where am I going when I die?

Karl Marx said "Evolution is the goal."

Hitler said "If you tell a lie long enough and loud enough and often enough, the people will believe it...People are more likely to believe a big lie than a small lie."
DON'T FALL FOR EVOLUTION...it never happened.

This is not a discussion about science vs. religion.
Both (Evolution and Creationism) are religions. I need to BELIEVE that there is a God, but I would also have to believe that everything came from a tiny dot, like the one at the end of this sentence.
I believe in the beginning God
and you believe in the beginning dot.
Don't say mine is religious and yours is science. BOGUS!!

Please be respectful as you answer, lets me civilized. Let this not be personal but a discussion about opinions. There is nothing wrong with beliefs. Share your views.

Because if you do, please seek professional help.
There isn't a single, solitary shred of credible evidence to support the existence of these imaginary creatures.
Just like Leprechauns, pixies and god.
But if you DO think you have proof, by all means, let us see it. If it is credible, it will be the first time in history that it's been provided.
I'll wait...

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

Tabari VII:7 "The Prophet married Aisha in Mecca three years before the Hijrah, after the death of Khadija. At the time she was six." Ishaq:281 "When the Apostle came to Medina he was fifty-three." Tabari VII:6 "In May, 623 A.D./A.H. 1, Allah’s Messenger consummated his marriage to Aisha." He would be dead in ten years; she hadn't lived that long. This was, and continues to be, child abuse.

Accusing a man of being a child abuser worthy of prison is sad. Yet the evidence is undeniable: Tabari IX:128 "When the Prophet married Aisha, she was very young and not yet ready for consummation." This is how it happened: Tabari IX:131 "My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down. At 6 years old and all left me alone with him sitting on my bed, and Mohamed set me on his lap-in 3 years he consumated the marriage.

I came from a loving religious Baptist family, three brothers and two sisters that I am extremely close with. Knowing how most are going to be judging me, treating me because I am a gay man. Just knowing for the rest of my life I will have to defend or ignore the ridicule. Even as a child I was aware of something was different with my thoughts. A perfectly normal house hold. Wishing they made a prescription so I could be heterosexual. Get married, have kids, have a normal life. Why do most still say it is a choice issue. I just dont understand.

I took a crap yesterday, and lo and behold, Jesus popped out. Then he stole my time machine screaming "all hail Lord Jedi" and went off to start a religion in the name of his creator. but in the Bible it says "Lord Jesus" accidently instead, Jedi isn't even mentioned, how should I punish my apprentice Jesus?

I rarely see a white guy from the bible belt becoming a hindu or a muslim from palestine becoming a rastafarian. Why is it that people mostly convert to religions are are typical/dominant of their culture? Could it be perhaps because religion is a culture effect and not some real connection with a deity?
