And can someone explain the point of deism or pantheism? If god doesn't have a personality then what's the point of calling it god? Wouldn't it be just a force of nature?

I am a Christian wondering about compassion and forgiveness. Is there any chance of societies rulers in the past 2 to 5 thousand years altering a word or two to meet their particular societies needs or prefrences or any chance that translations from ancient languages into modern now distort the originaly intended messages? Could Saten be doing God's Will of testing us and we have turned him into our scapegoat to avoid the responsability of our own actions??

I have my introduction is due wednesday on religious freedom and I have to give the background, history, who it affects, how it affects them, what people are doing, what the government is doing, what the world community is doing and the outlook to the future. I thought i'd start out by "Freedom of religion has always been a fundamental human right that has been implimented in the constitution of many nations world wide." After that, i'm kind of stuck. If anyone could help just the least bit would be great.

My brother is a history buff, but not a Christian, He asked if the battle was in the Bible, and if the Xerses in the movie is the one who married Esther? Can you tell me where to find it in the bible?

Seriously, it would seem to me that a loving father would, after some fair period of punishment, say something like, "OK, you've learned your lesson, go and sin no more."

But my parents taught me that if I really mess up, God might send me to hell after I die and never let me out.

What kind of a father would do such a thing?

I have in the last 4 years lost my grandmother (the closest person ever to me), my first love (we were an on again off again for 9 years and off at the time, but it was understood we had love), and my paw-paw (my step-grandfather, who really understood me). I feel them, I dream of them, and sometimes certain dates and numbers or even nicknames will appear from what seems nowhere, could it be them, and what do you think they want me to know? Or, am I just taking a reach to try and find them?

My mother was rebuked by a christian woman when my mom simply wished her "happy ostara" something like that.. since she works at a book store she sees many people and just wants to be friendly.

This woman went crazy and started praying and saying "i REBUKE thee in the name of the lord"

Why do *some* chrisitans go crazy like this? if she is offended she should just let it go. it's not any worse then a christian going " god bless you". Christians are you offended when pagans wish you a happy ostara or blessed be?

"Survival Of The Fittest"

This Darwin principle at its' very core has rather hateful and cruel implications for human beings in general. The sad thing is, this principle is "gospel truth" in the real world. People are actually living by the Darwanian concept. The modern age has thrown away the religious "shackles" of the past and has accepted newer, stronger chains in the flawed Darwinism principles. By very nature of Darwin's key concept, the poor and sick in our society should be terminated to futher the growth of our species. This shocking implication may seem absurd on the surface to someone with dull perception. Believe it or not, this principle is being applied covertly and under-handedly in our modern society. It is my stongest belief that the New World Order will be ushered in on this concept.
