i just want to want know about what i should tell my sister. she was at church and we go to this really legalistic church that follows rules strictly. she's 14 years old. she was sitting and reading the bible and then the preacher who is an elderly man, did not like her hairstyle (The hair style is extremely typical nothing absurd or outrageous about it, no punk design, no hair dye, she has long bangs that she tucks behind her hair) started talking about how bangs are bad and the forhead has to be shown. well, my parents beat her up pretty badly. what good defenses can i have? something like, looks don't matter to God. bible verse will be very appreciated.

I'm interested to find out what it is all about. What is so special about it? I had never heard of it until Tom Cruise admitted it and after much trying, i have no answers. Do you know things about them? I would rather hear from either people who believe in it, or arn't one of these people who are on here saying nasty things about them. So if you know something and won't be nasty about them then can you post here please? Many thanks in advance...

im lost ive pictured heaven over and over in my mind and i think of clouds angels harps flowers and every 1 still in there body just having a good time with no violence and he tells me its a non-physciall place and no dogs go to heaven either is he right?

Religions as a whole, radiate the goodness of man. Why would any so called man of God stand before a congregation and have as his main serman "Trashing another religion"?? When I attend church on sunday, it is for the purpose of spiritual growth and the love of the scriptures and the Lord who's live and teachings we treasure. Christ spirit does not attend those who are continually tearing down other religions.

When the jews being spiritually dead themselves witnessed the way the apostles were acting on the day of pentecost, they couldn't understand!They said mockingly-"they must have drunk too much wine!"Peter replied- THIS is that -and he went on to explain...The joy of the Lord! do many here experience being drunk in the spirirt very often?Have you ever? would you like to?Today I went to the prayer chapel, and my aunt just happen to be there also, we prayed, I was in the spirit immediately today, as soon as I knelt, the tongues came forth (if only it could always be so easy) Afetr I drove, got gas in my car, and went to the grocery store, by this time i was filled to the brim and still it kept coming-and was perculating over out of me in giggles.I saw a cop comin n thought great he'll think I'm high-and to top it off, he was gettin donuts! I went to the freezer section and put my hot head against the cold glass for some relief-and there at the end of the aisle was my aunt-grinnin ear2ear!

A friend and I watched a documentary the other night and a jewish woman (who studies Judiism) and no where was she taught anything about Jesus. Why? Wasn't Jesus born Jewish?

On January 5,2007,my mother died of cancer she'd been fighting for four years. To me, it seems like this happened only days ago. I feel like I'm in a fog that is contantly liffting and settling back down again and again.
Does anyone understand what I'm going through? Can anyone give me encouraging scripture?

I was meditating while listening to native american music and had a strange vision pop into my head. No idea why. The vision was like this.... I found myself on a path outside an ancient forest shrouded in mist when a pure white rabbit appeared and gestured me to follow him into the forest. We walked for ages until we came to a small clearing where there was a fox trapped in a snare. The rabbit said i should release the fox, treat its wounds and look after it until it recovered. Once better, the fox asked what it could do for me in return for my help and care. All i said was to not hunt and eat the rabbit that led me to him. I turned round and walked back out of the forest. I'm not in the habit of doing this kind of meditation thing and find it all a bit strange and un nerving and I'm definately not your typical hippy nut case, What's going on? anybody know?

I just am against the authority of the Pope? I am against his authority, and I accept all Protestant ideas. Do I have to get baptized, though? I have never gotten baptized. Plus everyone on my mother's father's side was Protestant, and they were from Northern Ireland.
