Plain as is. When you die, where do you go? Do you think you get reincarnated, or maybe go to heaven? Or just...die? Please tell me your opinion. Thanks! :]

Nothing. Death means... you're dead. End of story.

Honestly, I think I just cease to function. I'll tell you though, I once saw an episode of Tales from the Crypt that has left a lingering fear in me. It was about how you can die, but your brain will continue to have activity for spookily long periods of time afterward. I don't like the idea of spending an indeterminate amount of time trapped without senses inside my own brain as my mind slowly slips away from me due to lack of oxygen. Ugh. It's why I want to be cremated.

I answer this before I read the other opinions.

When I die I believe my spirit will leave the shell that is my physical body. That spirit will go to stand before God and answer for my thoughts, words and deeds done here while in this body.

I will then be either with God in spirit or in body for eternity, depending on His work and doing or ...... should I show him I do not "believe" for some reason, I will be sent to the place of eternal torment.

Jesus promised that "if you believe you shall be saved."

Your spirit leaves your body through the crown of the head. The soft spot. In the process of transformation you can see for yourself the spirit rising and falling and finally being set totally free. We meet with God and we see our lives flash and we get to see where we have gone, what we have learned. If we have learned and risen a level as there are different levels we must rise to finally not come back as in reincarnation. We on the other side get to come back to learn more lessons. If we are not ready to go to the other side, sometimes we are so strongly connected to the loved ones we left behind , or to a place we stay and do not move on. Time means little on the other side. If we are not able to move through the necessary stages of grief when we loose a loved one, our loved one that we lost stays with us till we are able to deal with the loss without loosing ourselves. We then can help others on earth if we are not to come back for another go at it. We can send mental messages to those that are still on earth. We continue learning on the other side. We never die...

I think that your mind, and awareness, ceases to exist, and that your body decomposes (unless steps are taken to preserve it). If your body is allowed to decompose and unless it's kept in a nonperishable container like a steel coffin liner, at some point it returns to the earth. Other life forms gain energy from the matter that once was you. Your life force lives on in a manner of speaking. I see this as positive.

I'm glad I read the details, I was going to answer that what happens after death is everyone else has to go on living :)

But you mean after your own death lol ... Your body expires and you have no more need of it; your soul, in whatever condition it's in, goes back to God. If you've nothing left of your soul, then there's nothing left of you to go back

"SO YOU THINK YOU'RE ALL SMARTER THAN "ALBERT EINSTEIN"?... do you?

In science the 1st law of energy is...energy does not die, it merely changes from 1 form to another.

Thought is energy...your personality is energy...your spirit is energy.

A reporter once asked Albert Einstein...."do you believe in an "after-life"?
Einstein replied....I have to !
The reporter asked...Why?
Einstein replied....because "ENERGY DOES NOT DIE" !

SO,....just where does that energy go then, ....when your physical body dies?

Hmmm?

You go in the ground or wherever they spread your ashes.
No reincarnation, no heaven, no hell.
Anyone who tells you different, is lying.

We rot or burn (cremate only). We stay where we'd been put. Zero incarnation. No heaven. Yes, just... die. Problems?

If we have committed our lives to Christ, we go to be with the Christian God in heaven.
