You seem to be joking but I do detect a bit of honesty in your question.
It is not the person who is to be hated. They are to be loved.
However, the fact that the gay situation exists in our world is an indication of just how messed up our world has gotten since the beginning, especially when one considers that two animals/people of the same sex cannot procreate and populate any location. This indicates that the gay/lesbian situation is not to be hated. It is just counter to the way things were first intended by God.
When first created all life was perfect. When sin entered the equation things got messed up and imperfect. All of us have some sort of imperfection, all of us, human or animal.
Those imperfections seem to remind us of how imperfect we have become. It reminds us of just how far we've fallen away from God's plan.
We sin even more when we start to hate each other for our imperfections.

i don't hate gays at all.
i just wouldn't approve of their actions.
Islam does not deny the fact that people can have feelings toward a person of the same sex(homosexual).
Or someone who is attracted to children. These are not normal or the normal nature of humans, which is why they are sicknesses. What Islam says what is different then any other religion about gays, is that you can be attracted to the same sex. But what you cannot do is act on those feelings. That is what is not allowed.
Hence never be alone with the same sex alone. As oppose to people who are attracted to the opposite sex shouldn't be with the opposite sex alone (except related members)
Simply:
Islam does not deny people who have feelings for the same sex, but the thing it forbids is for you to act in any way on those feeling for the same sex person.
Anyways, i am a religious person. I take my religion very seriously and i do not whatsoever hate gays. I just extremely dislike their behavior.
This is my point of view, as well as Islam's view.

Most of the people (that is: men) who hate homosexuals are afraid they're homosexual themselves, or of being perceived as gay.
Religion is losing ground every day. They need a scapegoat to explain their decline. They can't go after atheists, because we're louder and have better lawyers. The communists are pretty much gone. So gays are "IT." Plus, they have the benefit of an obscure and easily misinterpreted piece of scripture, so they can say "God says it's wrong!" It's an old game, and the Christians didn't originate it.

I hate nothing except my own sinful nature.
God's purpose for creating man and women was to be fruitful and populate the earth. They were created as perfect fits for one another in their bodies and minds. Again, with the fall of mankind, these purposes were conflated with seeking self gratification and excess.
Morality is defined by an ultimate moral authority, God. If you are a non-believer, then you have no objective moral truths.
Since God, speaking through the inspired prophets authoring the books of the bible, declared homosexuality a sin, then it is a sin.
Thus, homosexuality is just one of a litany of the degradation of the perfect moral state found in original creation. Homosexuality is just one of a plethora of sins now existing in the world. Like all sins, we hate the sin, but we love the sinner.
On the scale of the depravity of sin, homosexuality is no greater than other sins, just that it is practiced openly ("in your face"), so the reaction by some is over the top. Yet when we do some personal inventories of our own sinful natures, I am sure we are found wanting.

Happiness to Christians is more than the needs of the flesh. Continue to pray for strength to resist your urges and strive to be obedient to the scriptures.

Very nice display of immaturity.
Your first steriotyping:
Not all religious people hate gays. I am religions, I am Christian and I love the Lord. I do not hate gays though.
Your second steriotyping:
Not all preists are gay either. You should not judge an entire group of people by the actions of a few. Those few merely get all the attention.

Personally, i don't think that "religious", people hate anyone. there love for God is all that matters. some people call themselves religious, but don't follow their own guides(if u will). religious people may not agree with the Gay way of life. which is okay, but they don't hate the person. just dis-agree. No body is perfect, so lets not judge anyone, not even the priests.

Often what people do not understand they fear
What people fear they hate
What people hate they try to destroy
Historically, the church was against gays because they did not procreate and usually dressed better than most women so the bitches were mad at that big time!

I am not religious gay or a bigot.
Homosexuality in the catholic church is almost certainly due to their policy on clergy, not being allowed to marry as is paedophilia .
Many gays still have faith in their chosen religion
So you will probably find it is the homophobic bigots that will support this question

mainly because god made man, and woman to be together.
now me personaly, I don't have anything against them. A lot of my bestfriends, including my step dad, are gay or bi. However, I don't think gays should marry. Only because marriage was intended for man and woman, in the eyes of god. If they love each other, beautiful. Marriage no.
