I just am against the authority of the Pope? I am against his authority, and I accept all Protestant ideas. Do I have to get baptized, though? I have never gotten baptized. Plus everyone on my mother's father's side was Protestant, and they were from Northern Ireland.

Nothing against Catholic people. I just don't think the Pope really needs to be a part of the church.

You can call yourself anything you want, but what matters is what you believe. But yes, it's tough to be anti-pope and Catholic together.

If you are against the authority of the Pope, and you accept all other Protestant ideas, than you must be Protestant. I would suggest to you now that you go and get baptized in some Protestant church, because that is what believers do as Jesus commanded it in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20. You are Protestant and you should go that way. God bless you.

orthodox catholics don't adhere to the authority of the pope. as for the reasons why we have a pope this website will go into more detail from the scriptural reasons and explanations

http://www.scripturecatholic.com/

this site will also explain why the main doctrines of the protestants ie sola fide and bible alone are actually not in scripture or at their core go against scripture. you should research the catholic church more before you choose to remain protestant. baptism is neccessary,baptism is also covered in the site i gave you.

I am a Protestant. And yes, we do have the sacrament of baptism in our faith. It's an essential part of Christianity (Protestants and Catholics are both Christian religions). So if you were baptized under the Protestant faith, then you are one.
Most religions I know have a baptism in on form or another. It's better that you be baptized in whatever faith it is that you wish to live your life by.

You say you accept all Protestant ideas? Some Protestants believe in infant baptism, and some in adult baptism. Seems to me if you believed in both, you'd be contradicting yourself.

Find the Church that matches your beliefs and join it. If that requires you to get baptised, then do it.

I got to differ on this one. Anyone who is from Ireland is a Catholic, makes no different. It comes from the turf.(;

You do have to get baptised.

I also am against the authority of the Pope. I honestly think the catholic faith is a little twisted, there I said it. But you do need to get baptised. Even Jesus got baptised. Do it and you will be washed clean if you accepted Jesus as your savior.

Do you want to be part of a religion, or do you want a living, personal relationship with God? There is a difference.
