Because if you do, please seek professional help.
There isn't a single, solitary shred of credible evidence to support the existence of these imaginary creatures.
Just like Leprechauns, pixies and god.
But if you DO think you have proof, by all means, let us see it. If it is credible, it will be the first time in history that it's been provided.
I'll wait...

If you can't prove it, then it doesn't exist.
Pretty simple.

Pangel,
Lies and fairytales do NOT count as proof. you do realize that right?

swordark,
REALITY can be tested over and over giving the same result.
After all if spirits or supernatural phenomenon were real, then James Randi's challenge would have been won by now.

Edalg,
You must prove that these things exist. Just as I would have to prove to you that I have a magic milk-jug that never runs out and pours whiskey on command.
Understand now?

James,
The I suppose you can prove it then huh?

Much like most subjective topics, it's really one of those things you have to experience for yourself to really believe it because, while some paranormal investigators catch strange phenomena of film and audio all the time - it's often not an experiment that can be repeated with the same exact results again and again. So I guess you'll be waiting a LONG time. Good luck.

ADDED: Well, do you do the same exact thing every single day? If someone recorded you or photographed you, would you be in the same exact place and say the exact same thing every time? If spirits/ghosts move around as we do, but we can't really see them, how do you figure we should be able to get the same results every single time regarding evidence in video and audio? That's not logical.

The proof I can give to you is my own testimony. I am not a medium, but I have met a lot of them. They bring messages from loved ones and explain what is the life after death. They comfort us. We have them around us everyday and everywhere we go. When we pray we connect ourselves to the good spirits. When we close our mind to Faith, we connect ourselves to the bad spirits (just like you, probably). Therefore I have seen them perform.

My daughter used to see spirits when she was a little child and they always came to her asking for help. She is now 17 and doesnt see them anymore.

My other daughter, she is 4 y-old, she saw my father here in my house, a couple of months after he passed away. I live here in USA. My father lived and died in Brazil. My daughter didn't know he was dead, actually she doesnt understand death yet. She said to me: "there's a ghost here. He is a daddy. He is your daddy."

Once, I prayed to the angels of heaven to cure my daughter from an illness (she had bronquitis). it was at night. Next morning, she said to me: "mom, I had a dream with angels..." Coincidence??

What about the demons that Jesus used to exorcise? Are they not spirits after all? If people can have spirits within them, to the point that they are considered crazy or sick, why wouldn't I believe that they still act upon us all? And how woudn't I believe that there are good spirits too?

What about Gabriel that appeared to Mary to announce she was pregnant? If he was an angel, would he be the only one? Why wouldnt I believe there are many more, helping us everyday.

If you stop and listen to your surroundings, you would have the proofs yourself.

If you want to know somemore and collect more evidences, read some of Allan Kardec's books.

But you're right, there is no leprechauns...

My religion is Spiritism.
Peace!

You must be such a pain in the butt. How can someone prove that on a computer? You arent too bright there Yoda. Stop being so small minded. Just because you have not been lucky enough to experience anything spiritual doesnt mean it doesnt exist. I feel sorry for you that you are ranting on and on and putting others down. Like I said small minded.

Yes, many people CAN believe in them.

To paraphrase René Descartes (1637 A.D.): “If you would be a real seeker after truth, you must at least once in your life doubt, as far as possible, all things”. But commonly there is distrust regarding news and disrespect for truth.

Western society in particular tends to at least officially deny even the possibility of psychic abilities and to regard research on paranormal phenomena as being of marginal importance. The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is chartered by the U.S. federal government and provides advisory services to government agencies including the distribution of funds for research.

yes I do
and just because you have no evidence does not mean none of us have
when I have people describe my loved ones to me in great detail
height ,description , personality , names , dates , reason for passing , memories , things I have to have validated by other family members...
then I think this takes it a level above imagination

edit
would me showing you a reading I have had done prove it to you ?
no it wouldn't , because you dont know what I say is true
you have to have your own proof sorry , I cant give you that here

And..i think everyone is tired of having someone who "knows it all" and tell us what to think...

You don't *actually* believe that spirits don't exist???

Maybe it's about time you opened your unintelligent mind and started accepting your place in the whole scheme of things, instead of as a dominating and egotistic human being!

You say I'm wrong for believing in spirits and after life. I say that your are just as wrong not to believe. Neither of us can prove the other wrong, so lets just leave it at that.

At death we are resting in the grave until judgement day, so ghosts cannot be true.
But wicked spirits abound in the earth.

(John 5:27-29) 27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

(Acts 24:15) 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

(Ecclesiastes 9:4-6) 4 For as respects whoever is joined to all the living there exists confidence, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion. 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.

(Romans 6:21-23) 21 What, then, was the fruit that YOU used to have at that time? Things of which YOU are now ashamed. For the end of those things is death. 22 However, now, because YOU were set free from sin but became slaves to God, YOU are having YOUR fruit in the way of holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23 For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Revelation 12:7-12) 7 And war broke out in heaven: Mi´cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”

(Job 1:7) 7 Then the Lord said to Satan: “Where do you come from?” At that Satan answered God and said: “From roving about in the earth. . .
