How come those ancient people get all the fun???

What part of evolution is hard for you to understand? Do you say micro evolution is okay, but macro is not?

If you do not like micro evolution, how do you justify influenza?

Also, would it be a hard step for you to imagine a mammal born with oddly shaped reproductive organs finding a member of the same species with the oddly shaped reproductive organs, and then mating only with that creature [as it couldn't with anything else] and as the genes move along, the oddly shaped bit from those two animals become chemically unable to breed with members of the old species [thus making it fully impossible, including preventing sterile offspring from forming. [And to the others who understand that, I realize t is a weak idea., but plausible in a simple sense. And improbable too, but let's run with it.]

Thanks, and please do not quote the bible.

I posted this earlier, but no creationists replied.

Here's a remarkably bizarre (and true) story of the death of Larry Cooper- a man killed because he did not believe in God. Please read the whole thing if you haven't heard of it before, because it gets progressively weirder the more you read it.

So how do you feel about this? If you're a Christian, how do you view those described in the article? It's not like it was just ONE religious nut. It was a whole slew of them all at once.

"In the eyes of the law I was wrong and will probably spend the rest of my life in prison, but in the eyes of God I have killed an evil person -- the devil himself."
Is this what religion does to you?

For more instances of discrimination against atheists and nonbelievers you can go to http://fsgp.org/ADSN_Report.pdf It's an interesting read, to say the least.

If you believe that the universe doesn't need a master to exist but also realize human rationality is not absolute, wouldn't that make you agnostic? What's wrong with that position?

I know it is not okay to make an image of The Prophet, and it made me wonder if there is anything in Islam that prohibits or discourages the displaying of an opened Qu'ran, on a bookshelf. Please only sincere answers. I would really like to know, and thank you in advance.

my cousins are muslim. I heard they don't celebrate birthdays, accept presents from christians including their family members who are christian, and aren't allowed to date. They also wear modest clothing, they always wear a veil and long baggy clothes even in the summer. They can't even shave. It's like they live through a long list of rules or something. But I have some friends who are muslim and they do celebrate birthdays and date and aren't as restricted about issues like that. Do muslims have a choice on whether they can live as freely as americans or non-muslims?

Jesus says that the Law which God gave Moses on the Mount at Sainai is still in effect until heaven and earth pass. He also says that unless our riteousness excedes that of the scribes and pharisees (lawmakers and priests), we shall in no case enter into the kindom of heaven.

Paul says that the Law is null and void, and that there is no more Law, and that all we need do is believe in Jesus' name and we will go to heaven.

Do you want to spend eternity in Hell?

Take a moment and be honest, if not in the answer you will post, at least be honest with yourself!

Does the hope of eternal life in Heaven make more sense to you?

Do you TRULY want to suffer for your own sin, in hell, for ever and ever?

Enough nonsense and clowning around and take a moment and realize, you may not have tomorrow, this could be your last chance to answer that question.

Do you truly want to?, seriously, do you?

Think how much we dont know or cant prove? How was the universe created? How was man created,? Is there life beyond our solar system, How old is the earth? Is there water on Mars? Is there a God or superior being?

I am sure the ant thinks of itself as a pretty smart insect, probably thinks its the smartest creature on earth. Is it possible an ant doesnt know we (humans) exist, sure they see our hand or foot but do the realize its part of a living thing? Why are we so arrogant as to think nothing can be more evolved and more intellegent than us. That there cant be a higher species. With so much we dont know, shouldn't we at the very least, consider the possibilities? Begining with the possibillity that maybe just maybe God exists? Can anyone prove he doesnt?

And, if that's not enough, there's that Noah's Arc thing, in which everyone and everything on earth was drowned except those on the boat. If that's true, then the gene pool was narrowed down even more, and everyone on the face of the earth today could be traced back to those that were on the Arc. Is there something that I'm missing here?

Okay, when you watch TV, a movie, or listen to the radio, and your hear people talk about Christianity and how great it is, do you feel, that when black people talk about Christ and Jesus, you get a total different feeling from when whites do? I'm not racist or anything, I just kind of realized it. Like, when a white person preaches, it seems more like they're trying to force it upon people. That's how a lot of people I know think of it is as. Do you feel this way?

I'm not talking about the people that directly tell me I will burn in hell. But just the mere knowledge that all Christians believe any non-believer in God will burn in hell if they don't change before death makes me furious.

Some actually try and say that they can't judge me, but in their bible it directly states that all non-believers will not go to heaven.

Does it make you as angry as it does to me?

All this bickering, going where? For what purpose? Everyone finds their truth in their own way. But we have to ask ourselves one fundamental question, why are we here? Not here on earth, but here on yahoo answers, answering and asking questions through the medium of internet. Why aren't we asking these questions to the ones we love, the ones we hate, the ones we are indifferent to? Why must we hide ourselves? Why must we segregate our lives to each other? When we figure that out, perhaps the world will know peace. Because we all need to communicate, but life interactions are so mundane, so governed by material things, this and that, necessary causes, and rarely do they reach such pinnacle depths as we display here on yahoo religion and spirituality. So my question is, why can we not do this in real life, and why must we do this on here?

For those who don't know, Serbia is a pre-dominantly Christian nation. Their national anthem is called "God of Justice."

But is this really justice?
