Joshua, do you truly honestly believe in a god that creates such a terrible place as hell? Is this a god that you want to worship?
If anyone of us died right now would we be ready for a place like heaven or would we ruin it for everyone else? Unless you are perfect you will not enter into the idea of heaven that your religion has created.
Take a moment and be honest, would you be able to enjoy heaven if you knew that other people even perhaps loved ones were suffering eternally? Would you? Does it make sense to you because if it does, you are truly a disturbed person and have no business preaching about heaven or hell.
Enough clowning around and realize that the only truth is peace and love and not a bearded man that lives in the sky and punishes you for having impure thoughts about your neighbors wife.

There is no hell...
After 15+ years of searching for a spiritual truth, I finally decided to be honest with myself. I've been an atheist ever since.
No, the hope of eternal life in heaven doesn't make sense...it's a pipe dream that offers false hope and comforts fear, while preventing individuals from truly living the life that they do have.
Sin is a human concept. It gives a negative conotation to our more basic animal instincts. You may suffer for wrongs done in this life DURING this life, but you won't after death.
Nonsense and clowning aside, the very fact that you may not have tomorrow is the perfect reason to stop worrying about this question, and LIVE FOR TODAY. The afterlife is an empty promise.

I understand that you wish to save everybody from eternal damnation and respect that your motives are well intentioned.
You believe that you have found the path to eternal life and want others to join you but many others believe the same although they have found a different path. In your eyes this makes them wrong but equally in their eyes you are wrong.
I am a Buddhist and follow a different path which I do not think leads to heaven or hell but maybe to understanding.
Atheists too have their own path. In many ways more like my path than yours but in some ways different.
Maybe the best way to avoid suffering for your sins is not to commit them in the first place rather than seek absolution after the event.
Why not respect all paths and accept that they have validity at least to the people following them?
Different does not equal sinful, evil or damned necessarily. If I understand, it is your Gods functionto judge rather than mine or yours.
Enjoy your path and may it bring you peace and happiness.

Your Heaven would be Hell to me, how hard is that to understand?
For me, like my ancestors before me, the worst thought is having a afterlife were you are separated from your loved ones. What kind of heaven would it be like without those whom you loved most? What type of heaven would it be like if you can’t even remember those you loved because God erased your memory? You surely wouldn’t then be able to remember anything at all about your life here on Earth as a result. You wouldn’t be the same person you are now because all the things that make us who we are would be striped from you. What makes us who we are is our memories and past experiences.
Then of course is the matter of living for all eternity in one place, spending all your days doing nothing but praising a God that stole your memories and robbed you of kin sentencing them to the lake of fire. I think any sentient being would in time go insane as the centuries rolled by. It sounds like an awful dreary existence. Eventually, if we don't have a continually challenging and diverse environment, we will die, yet in heaven you cannot die. You are forced to exist forever, you can’t commit suicide in Heaven. I started to see why Lucifer and one third of the angels rebelled against (the Christian) God. Heaven seems like a fate far worse then hell. In fact, Heaven starts to sound almost like the Norse version of Nastrond, where the really wicked people are sent for punishment. Wouldn’t that be the ultimate irony?

Do you know God? Really know God? Not just believe in God - or hope in this promise of eternal life?
I do. I have God's love everyday in my life. Doesn't mean bad things don't happen. I'm facing the possibility of having cancer. But God holds me in Her love, and becomes my strength. She shelters me and gives me the power to overcome what this life presents to me. She also shows me the beautiful gift of creation - this blessing she bestows upon us, that so many are eager to leave believing that something better awaits. Grass greener on the other side syndrome.
I also know that since she created me - shaped me in her hands out of her eternal and limitless love - that she will take me to her when I die. Her Divine breath is the fire of my soul, yet I am a seperate creation from her. And she will bring me home when it is time to leave this beautiful earth.
Do you have peace? Trust in God? Serenity? I do.

Wanting to believe in the existence of hell does not make it true.
Even if you really want to believe it, it doesn't make it true.
Now, being honest, since I do not believe in hell, why would wanting to spend time there be relevant?
Yes, enough of the nonsense and clowning around, why would you think that atheists believe in your hell if they do not believe in your god?

As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. The hope of eternal life in Heaven makes sense to me.
God bless you for asking. Lord, Let someone see this question and have to really think about you. Amen.

Fear is the steroids of religion.
No, I wouldn't like to go to hell, would you? If not, you'd better start praying to Muhammad, Jesus, Vishnu....
