Caption: Belgrade Gay Pride parade participants heavily beaten up by Serbian far-right extremists and football fans.

For those who don't know, Serbia is a pre-dominantly Christian nation. Their national anthem is called "God of Justice."

But is this really justice?

I don't think you are in a position to KNOW if this is justice. (You don't word the question like a witness to the events.)

Is the photo a fraud?

What was the true activity of those persons involved? (ON BOTH SIDES)

Was it a peaceful event or was it a mob looking for a fight? (ON EITHER SIDE)

There are WAY too many unanswered questions to make any meaningful decision.

Belgrade has a long history of NON-Peaceful assembly.

PLEASE DON'T make any judgment on PART of the story!

This wasn't the ONLY riot in town. I searched Y!News for 'Belgrade riot' and found this, along with several others:

BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) -- Riot police clashed with fans in Belgrade on Saturday during and after a soccer match between local rivals Red Star and Partizan.

Red Star fans were angered by their team's 4-2 loss and built barricades in downtown Belgrade with trash bins as police on horseback charged at them, witnesses said.

At least 20 fans were arrested at the Red Star stadium and in later clashes, police said, with at least five fans and one policeman injured.

One fan seriously injured his eyes when a flare hit his face, hospital officials said.

Red Star leads the first division with 42 points, nine points ahead of second-placed Partizan.

... Busy riot police. Anyone want to guess whether football fans or "far-right extremists" had the most to do with those photographs?

How bigoted and closed minded you are, remember as a liberal you must support diversity in all forms.
When" ACT UP" a radical gay movement a few years ago did radical anti Christian acts. Gays celebrated that churches were broken into and gay protesters s--t on the alter. It was acceptable as part of a new and wonderful diversity. Militant gays were in your face and insulting. Now you can celebrate that the gays are being rewarded with the same multi-culturalism you so stronly desired.
I have met some Serbian Christians and they were wonderful poeple.
I hope some day I can make you happy by yelling at your mother in a loud and threatening voice, that she is a s--t eating dog and that she should be put down. After it is all over you and the woman that raised you can exclaim how much more you enjoy living in a diverse society where decency and respect no longer need to be practiced. I will bet your Mom will be proud of you for your part in promoting a loss of public decency.
What you saw was justice, as the word for Justice and Righteousness in the Bible is the same word except one ment civic and one ment spirtual when translated into two English words. Although I am sure you prefer gay sex happening on public transportation systems even if others don't approve they must learn to respect other peoples values. Right?

Of course it is horrible for anyone to beat up anyone else like that. However.....why do you pick on the christians? A nation can call itself christian but the people who did that I assure you are NOT christian. The united states of america is supposidly a christian nation, however I assure you it no longer is.
Another point....Homosexuality is wrong and it is sin, that does not give anyone the right to beat or kill someone because they are HS. What most HS think about christians is that we PICK on the behavior of HS which I will admit some do. My view is much different. Yes HS is a sin, but so is stealing, cursing with Gods name, coveting, not honoring your parents, lying, adultury, sex before marriage, the list goes on. All sin is just that, sin. No sin is worse than another, yet there are some that stick out more than others because of our society. For the most part an adulterous person does not wear that on a tee shirt and talk about it to everyone else and demand special rights because they are adulterers. HS is out in the public eye more, just like abortion..the taking of an innocent life. To get back to your original question...the people who committed this horrible atrocity against these HS people are also sinning by harming others. True christians do not condone this or partake in it.
One more thing, it is really appalling when HS make public displays of their affections via a parade or what have you.
I do not agree with that and I dont even want to see a man and woman doing that in public let alone 2 of the same. If you must do those vile acts then restrict them to the privacy of your home or hotel or something. Children should never be subjected to anything like that whether straight or homosexual. It robs children of their childhoods and their innocense.

did the football fans or extremists say it was justice? do their actions reflect upon all the christians in serbia?what or who initiated the encounter? straight people don't go around having heterosexual pride parades. i have no problem with homosexuals, they should refrain from sexual activity but there is no real need for these parades, and no i don't think the violence was justified but i don't know the other underlying issues that surrounded this event.

Why don't you stop for a minute and ask yourself one question: why didn't God create Eve and Eve or two Adams if he really wanted gay people to be on the face of Earth?

I don't agree on seeing people beaten up, I hate violence, but I don't approve of having gay people flaunting their ''gayness'' in the middle of the city. If you're gay, then, be gay for yourself, I don't need to know about that. Or go some place else and join the love parades (Germany for instance). I guess you'll be more welcome over there.

That's all folks!

Obviously it's wrong to beat people up, it's not justified. But why in the world do gays need to be so in-your-face as to parade it down Main Street? In a tough neighborhood like Belgrade they were just begging for trouble.

i'm getting all those outcomes each and all of the time. some cameras are particularly gentle to action, extraordinarily in case you positioned it to tungsten. regrettably, human beings will see what they decide to verify otherwise what others say they might desire to verify. that is called the technique of advice. that is how we see an eerie parent in a pant of smoke or how we stress to verify boobies on between the figures in the final Supper. Why do you think of The Da Vinci Code is so familiar?

They are not true bible believing Christians. Just because someone says their a Christian doesn't mean their a Christian. "You will know them by their fruits" Matthew 7:16 By the way, how do know they were Christians? Just because Serbia is a majority Christian nation?

Matthew 7:21-23 as follows:

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

It is really quite sad that those calling themselves Christians would do such a thing. This is why one cannot generalize any one group of people. We are all individuals, with our own unique personalities & characters. When Christians have severe character defects, it makes one wonder the extent of their relationship to Christ, because Jesus would never condone what took place in that photo. As to your question, no this is not justice. Nobody deserves to be treated as those people were treated. Shame on those involved.

Physical violence is sad. I do not believe that homosexuality is to be taken as something that should be put out there as normal. It is sinful but, I also do not think we need to do things like this. This is just sick. What's next, will we beat up people who are fat because they might be gluttons? We can make our views known but, that's it.

The greatest law is to love and honor God.
Nearly as great is to love your neighbor as yourself. A neighbor being any person who exists in the world. So show compassion and love to all people regardless of who they are. You don't have to agree with the persons beliefs or lifestyle but you must respect the person.
Being gay/lesbian is unnatural. Acting in such a way is an affront to God.
