His crucifixion was certainly a sacrifice for the benefit of others. But is it considered that those who killed him did a bad thing? Some people blame the Roman procurator at the time for sentencing him to death, but if that had not happened, then there would be no such thing as Christianity. Could someone please explain?

Christians are called close minded by atheists all the time, and to me that seems so backwards. So please clarify, how your mind is open? And how you mind is not 'dictated' by anything.

Let's not act like two year olds by name calling or anything please!

Christians a very quick to dismiss the tomb of jesus as "sick lies" or "absolutely false" without even hearing the evidence, but if it were proving christianity would they support it without even hearing the evidence?

What if Jesus was just another nice guy?
What if you're right?
What if He was just another prophet?
What have you got to lose?

What if you're wrong?
What if He really is The Son of God?
What if He really did hang on the cross for you?
What if He really did die for you?
What have you got to lose?

Note how I used the word "socialist" instead of "communist." This is so I can avoid having a virus sent to my Inbox by some Jesus -lover again.

When you seriously think about it though, Jesus was more likely a communist (apart from the religious factor).

The early Christian Church practiced a form of socialism. People joining the Church were required to give all of their possessions to Church leaders. If they failed to do this, and kept some back for themselves, they would be murdered. This is documented in Acts of the Apostles.

Jesus himself was not too fond of the rich either:
-Jesus disliked very much the tax collectors because they were money-driven and money-hungry (Matthew 5:46, 9:10, and Luke 3:11-13).
-Jesus disliked the rich people and promised that only few of them will make it to Heaven (Matthew 19:23-26)
-Jesus owned practically no material possessions.

***In this case, why is Jesus often often associated with capitalism?

we have lanterns hung up. Everyone dresses "old fashioned" and we have a good time, singing a lot of the old hymns, which we sing anyway, but w/a fiddle, guitar and banjo. We always have a guest preacher do the sermon, and then a dinner after. Does any other Baptist churches do this? Its really fun and I look forward to it.

answering questions there. If I had to guess the percentage of people who atest to the fact they do not believe in God, it would probably be about 90%. And yet it is in that category where they choose to hang out. Can anyone tell me why on earth people like that choose to go into this category? Is it so annoying to them that there are people who have a faith and would like to discuss it with others who have faith? Personally, I feel most of them feel unsettled about their claims of being an Athiest and are searching for God. Why else would they hang out in that category?

Were most creationists home schooled by fundamentalist parents who taught them that evolution and the big bang were the same theory that says humans came from monkeys?

If not, where do they get this stuff?

Whats and Islamic extremist? Someone who is shooting bullets? If thats the only marking of an extremist then Christianty and all other religions literally have no extremists. Maybe David Koresh and maybe that one bomber who claimed it was against God to do abortions would be the only exceptions.

Its estimated that nearly 15% of the Islamic world is militant. That number comports nicely with the amount of Islamic war in the world. Millions of Muslims are at wat everywhere in the world today.

The Muslims at war, do so using funds from other Muslims and using terror/guerrila tactics. Its impossible for Muslims today to marshall massive conventional armies, because literally all other non-muslim countries are vastly superior and would wipe them out.

Suppose all the Muslims in the world really do hate us and want to murder us...how could they do it? They cant...only convetional means allows such a thing to happen.

95% of all Muslims take the Quran literally, what better measure?

“True knowledge is [that which consists in] the doctrine of the apostles, and the ancient constitution of the Church throughout all the world, and the distinctive manifestation of the body of Christ according to the successions of the bishops, by which they have handed down that Church which exists in every place, and has come even unto us, being guarded and preserved without any forging of Scriptures, by a very complete system of doctrine, and neither receiving addition nor [suffering] curtailment [in the truths which she believes]; and [it consists in] reading [the word of God] without falsification, and a lawful and diligent exposition in harmony with the Scriptures, both without danger and without blasphemy; and [above all, it consists in] the pre-eminent gift of love, which is more precious than knowledge, more glorious than prophecy, and which excels all the other gifts [of God]." Irenaeus, Against Heresies, 4,33:8 (inter A.D. 180-199).
