we have lanterns hung up. Everyone dresses "old fashioned" and we have a good time, singing a lot of the old hymns, which we sing anyway, but w/a fiddle, guitar and banjo. We always have a guest preacher do the sermon, and then a dinner after. Does any other Baptist churches do this? Its really fun and I look forward to it.

Sounds like fun. I'm sure that you are all blessed. My church used to have a spaghetti dinner after Wednesday night service and we would always invite guests, like a neighbor or friend. I loved those times. They stopped doing it when after we got a new Pastor.

I don't belong to a Baptist church but I would certainly visit one like yours to share in such wholesome God honoring fun!
