I know there are protestant brethren who insist the importance on the word of God and establishing a personal relationship with Christ himself and I believe most of us will not deny we need to grow as a community.

But since every pastor has his own beliefs in how the church should run, who should we follow? To follow one who says divorce is alright, or another who does not allow abortion etc. The emphasis I will like to point out here is that there is NO UNITY among christian churches.

Unlike the Catholic church which through past 2000 yrs has been consistent although amendments is made through the various councils such as the vatican council in the 60s. There is consistent doctrine among all the churches and every mass is the same be it in Italy, Hong Kong or America although vernacular language is used instead.

Peace to all.

A man named "Husam" just challenged me to "find a mistake in the Quran". http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=An6yAqBwtCxO3LHAeBdh9crd7BR.?qid=20070306174439AAxi9QE

The very challenge is a false one, because there is no possible way, a rational educated person can read the first couple of chapters in the Quran and not find that it was written by an intelligence lower than that of todays elementary school children.

Anyone who offers such a challenge is either totally brainwashed or totally incompetent. How do you reach such a person? Would even a retard child compare the earth to a "carpet spread out" as the Quran does in 20:53? I bet you the majority of retarded children today would do better than the Quran. Seriously.

What will "Husam" tell me when I show him that the a man named Zul Qarnain, according to the Quran, travelled and travelled untl he "found" the place where the sun set "in" a muddy spring (18:86).

He will rationalize it...

Couldn't God have created other people besides Adam and Eve? Like he made them first and while they were alive, he made more people...?

I have had heart failure and I don't want to die. I need a miracle. I've seen news reports and stories of the sick visiting statues that bleed or other divine places where they can be healed. Are these stories true? Can anyone help me?

That's an easy question to answer for most people...what I really want you to answer is, "HOW DO YOU KNOW?"

I am myself a Christian. You know in the Bible--->1 Corinthians talking about Love....like Love is patient Love is kind....Do you think anyone can really love like that? My step-dad says that no one can love like that not even God. Because God keeps records of wrongs and gets angered. So does this make any sense to you?

Cosmologists have asserted that the Universe is "open ended". That is, galaxies are accelerating away from each other. Ultimately, there will be no habitable planets, all of the stars will go dark, and eventually even atoms themselves will fall apart. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_fate_of_the_universe . How does this impact your view of God and the afterlife?

I see four possible answers but also welcome possibilities I haven't thought of.

1. This assertion reaffirms my beliefs.
2. This assertion undermines my beliefs.
3. This assertion has nothing to do with my beliefs.
4. This assertion is incorrect.

Over the past couple of years alone, the vast majority of all "nature related" deaths have occured in Islamic communities. It almost appears as if nature only wants to kill Muslims.

From earthquakes in Iran and Turkey, to the slew of non-stop natural distasters in Pakistan and Eurasia (Indonesia, Malyasia), where the most Muslims live.

Now, add to this the fact that, according to the recent UN studies, Islamic countries continue to have the highest illiteracy and baject poverty depiste their oil wealth. Oh yea, and by the way, Muslims are involved in more wars and terror than anyone else.

Whew! If God exists, and he gets involved, as the Quran claims, then you must conclude that he hates Islam more than a hindu who just saw his family burned alive by a Muslim in Kashmir.

Of course, this is all just coincidence. After all, if God really wanted to punish Muslims for all their horrors, he would have done so after their 1st genocide on Hindus (1 billion dead) in the 11th cent.

Much had been said and will be said of his atrocities but the point is that the Lord wants us to follow his example by loving our enemies as He loves us and leave the judgment to God Himself as He is our creator.

Peace to all.
