It is important to know that the Noble Quran doesn't give scientific equations. It instead gives many scientific notions that had been proven today to be clear Scientific Miracles because they fit perfectly with modern science. One of the Divine Miracles of the Noble Quran is that Allah Almighty (through His perfect use of the complex and artistic language of Arabic) used scientific notions to make the Noble Quran truly dynamic for all the times that It is presented in. These scientific notions hid in them, for many centuries, the scientific statements and discoveries that we just came to know today, and perhaps are even hiding in them more statements that our future generations will discover. These notions are basically key words and/or terms that describe certain creations of GOD Almighty. For example:
1- Allah Almighty in one Word said that the Universe is expanding and in another term said it will shrink back again. Science confirmed that today through the big bang and the cosmic crunch theories.
2- Allah Almighty in two Words mentioned the layers of waves and darkness inside the vast oceans. Science today, again, confirmed that.
3- Allah Almighty in one Word said that He made the earth as an egg. We all know today that earth is spherical and science did confirm that the earth is indeed egg-shaped. Please visit: If the Noble Quran says the earth is "egg-shaped" through a Notion, then why couldn't Prophet Muhammad just say it clear in plain Arabic? (detailed proofs demonstrating the miracle of the Word/Notion "dahaha").
4- Allah Almighty in few terms in several Noble Verses said that mountains prevent the earth from shaking. Science today did indeed confirm that mountains stabilize the earth and prevent it from constantly shaking while it is rotating around its own axle.
5- Allah Almighty in one term talked about the earth reducing in size. Science today indeed confirmed that earth is shrinking in size due to volcanoes and earth "debris" caused by erosions, earthquakes, sea-waves changing the shape and condition of the land and other natural factors, escaping to space. In fact, it is estimated that earth lost approximately 10-40 miles from its radius or depth size in the past 10 or so billion years! (I heard this from Dr. Zaghloul Al-Naggar on TV. My numbers may not be quite accurate because I am relying on memory, but the fact of the earth shrinking is definitely true, and in the link above I have provided several quotes from Western scientists demonstrating why the earth is reducing/shrinking in size).
6- Allah Almighty mentioned in one term the moon's fault line. Science today confirmed that the moon's fault line, which is splitting it in half, was caused by major moonquakes.
7- Allah Almighty in one term talked about the earth's 7 properties. Science today confirmed that the earth has 7 inner layers and 7 atmospheric layers.
8- Allah Almighty in one term talked about the region inside the human-brain that controls the movements. Science today confirmed that.

Salam :) I'm a Muslim teenager living in Canada. I wear hijab alhamdullilah and it's for the most part accepted here since i live in a big city with a sizeable Muslim population. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots at school though who ask stuff like "yo got a bomb under there hahaha". But the hardest part is being different from your friends. Being a Muslim, parties, alcohol dating boys wearing revealing clothing etc is haram, and while I don't want to do that anyway, it can be a little awkward to have to explain why I don't do it to people who consider it just a part of being a teenager and its ordinary to them. Muslims living in Muslim countries definitely have it easier when it comes to fitting in. And with food it can be a little tricky but I always try to read the label if I'm not sure of the ingredients. But I wouldn't wanna be any other religion no matter how difficult it gets and how different I feel from everyone else, I'm glad to be Muslim :)

It's a pity that true Muslims and true Christians often quarrel here;
there are avenues for criticism in every religion so there could be no winner in a religious debate.

The Quran makes perfect sense to anyone who doesn't lack reason/logic. If your going to take a verse and use it as proof at least take the verse in its entirety, not just bits and pieces of it. The verse that you chose is telling a story. In the story the man (Dhul Qarnain) sees the sun set and it appears to have set into "dark turbid waters". Any one who has ever witnessed the sunset on a beach; it looks as though the sun is setting into the water (because thats as far as your sight will allow you to see)!!!
The Quran is a miracle! It came with scientific and medical facts that weren't discovered by scientist up until very recently! And if you understand Arabic; you'd be amazed at the poetic nature of the Quran....its incredible.
And for the record the most flawed book is probably the Bible. It's been changed about a million times (I would know I come from a Christian family and I've done extensive Bible study)....Everyone follows a different version. And all the various editions/versions of the bible contradict each other. At least every Quran is exactly the same. Although you can find it translated in just about every language, the original text (the Arabic) is exactly the same in every Quran (down to the last letter)!! Its been preserved Muslims today follow the exact same Quran that was revealed over 1400 years ago!

The Koran has not flaw. It is the perfect book. Why do you suppose it is followed by 1 billion people. Why do you suppose it spread so fast? Why do you suppose it is growing? Why do you suppose so many people are converting to Islam? Those converts are mainly from the West.

It is a religious reflex. I often get the same kind of responses from people who read that other book that was largely written by ignorant desert scribes - with its 4 corners of the world and the sun going around the earth, etc. I am amazed they can't see the obvious primitivism of the bible. In fact it recalls a saying from another religious book that goes "There is no blinder man than he who WILL not see."
Yes, he, they, will rationalize it.

Because there are no flaws.
there was a worldwide debate about Islam and Christianity held in Egypt. There was a christian priest
and a Muslim imam (like a priest) who was also a scholar
who debated..The debate lasted for about two weeks.
and they met every day in the Al-Azhar Mosque (100 year old mosque in Egypt) which is now a Top university.
At the end of the two week debate the priest converted to Islam.
That proves something about Islam...hmm i wonder what
Oh yeah that its a true religion
that proved prosperous in a worldwide debate..
stop pointing fingers
and stop criticizing.
like i said in one of your other ignorant Q's
learn Arabic and understand it
to understand the true meaning of Islam in the Quran in its entirety. until then stop asking questions that are ignorant and uneducated.
the proof of the priest that converted is below...
I am pretty sure i got the right link
or this might be another link for another priest who converted..
neverthless it is STILL A CHRISTIAN PRIEST WHO CONVERTED.

i'll tell u why because i bet u selectively read what u wanted to. see this is a prob ppl that don't want to see something for what it is tend to mock it, and purposely try to find fault in it. every religion does it to every religion. and no one will seek the A that they want to find because they don't even want to see the A if it was right in front of their faces.

A true believer is expected to claim "I shall render to my lord" so he does. To muslims a mistake is a figure of humor so scandal and perfection are found amidst intrigue, and the true friend will scatter his soul for ingenuity instead of betrayal, this is homage, you are being respected, until you see this withdrawal will take longer to realize how gracious your words and knowledge can be.
It is not needed or intended most of times that a person is perfect or intriguing, we can see forth, not always, right? so we are not all wise and keen, muslims are, they believe in their words, so can you.
You are not considerating becoming obnoxious over my regard, are you? bye.
Admit the knowledge both ways.
