Prosecution lawyer Mohamed Dawoud told The Associated Press:

"I want him [Nabil] to get the toughest punishment," Dawoud told . "I am on a *jihad* here ... If we leave the likes of him without punishment, it will be like a fire that consumes everything."

Mr. Amer's 'crime' was criticizing Islam on his blog.

Honest question. I found this verse in the bible, Isaiah 7:14:

"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."

I took it from KJV Bible, anyways,

Is Jesus that Immanuel?

If so, why is it Immanuel, does it mean anything...or something?

when a infidel ask a question about predestination, aborgation, which are a big part of the koran. muslems should look it up and give a good answer instead of saying it doesn't exist. if the prophet mohammad is the perfect example to follow who wouldn't want to follow his example? can anyone see a reason why non-believers should not be able to ask a serious question and get a good answer?

I was raised as a christian and whilst I am no church-goer, I still live my life along the lines of "do unto others" etc, bit like Earl in " My name is Earl" , though that's really buddhism... I digress:

Maybe Islam should win and the world come under its rules ? Maybe the Muslims are right and the way of life we lead in western societies doesn't deserve to continue. It seems that Muslims care more about their religion than Christians, are more prepared to let it be dominant in their lives. Christian church attendance is dropping and Islam is increasingly being taken up around the world. Perhaps Darwinism will kill of Christianity, not by science, but by survival of the strongest ? If Islam took over, even by force, after one or two generations, who would know christianity even existed ?

So , the question is, is it possible for Christians to become more fervent in supporting their religion, or is it too late and Islam will conquer all ?
.

Just as atoms come together to form material things. There are
"spirit" lifeforms that come together to concentrate the Forces

Is it deception?
Didn't one of your great actors say, "All the World is a stage, and
a man must play many parts."
Didn't the one called Paul say, "I am made All things, to All people, so some might (choose Life)!"
To survive on the street, one must have a "street" mentality. One
cannot take any bull off of anybody. Or they will have to take it off of everybody!
But to hold a job and have a steady income. We have to have
a "work" mentality. We cannot "blow-off" anytime somebody has
a "bad hair day", and says something stupid to us.
Many get "caught-up" in the roles they play. And cannot tell the
difference between those who want to harm them, and those who Love them!

i dont know what i believe, so i have no feelings one way or another, but it seems that many people feel it is necessary to attack other's beliefs or try to disprove them, on this site as well as in life..

what does this say? i think it says that those who are doing these things do not yet know exactly what they themselves believe because they obviously need reassurance from others or feel threatened by those that do not believe the same.. and are these people who feel this way in any position to take part in such actions?
