Yes, I understand. I'm not sure I accept your definition though. There are elemental spirit beings in virtually all mythologies. Jinni are supernatural creatures from Arabic mythology. They were once thought to be the souls of lost peoples or else a demonic race like the lilu of Babylon.
Were you really asking a question, or simply making a statement of you own beliefs?

I understand a small bit about them, nothing concrete enough to say that I actually know what I am tlaking about, unless you mean the Elementals in the BattleTech series.

Yes, jinn (genies) are real.
...So are cave-trolls, gnomes, dwarves, elves, fairies, leperchaun, gremlins, and vampires. Anyone who denies THEIR existence, obviously have no "eyes to see", or ears to hear.
