I know we've heard that a lot before. But is that really the case? I mean I'd like to think my ex is in Heaven. I wonder if anyone has proof. I mean I wanna see her there. I don't want her to be in the Pits of Hell in the after-life, and I, on the other side of Eternity (which is Heaven).

I would love your thoughts on this question, please be serious. If you dont belive then how do you praise who you belive in, and if you dont belive at all thats alright to. How do you show praise?

I'm asking because all the topics I scroll through are usually tangents. A person asking a very specific question then the whole world expresses "free thinking" opinions! Look up free thinker before responding! I'd rather post my feelings and nobody respond than for people to take away the glory of what was written. Very frustrating posting insightful info and the average Joe's who spend more time being belittled by tv, radio, friends, and parents. And voice that disparaging nonsense online, please do not respond if you spend no time researching atleast a dictionary!

As suggested by Fisher (2003) in Living Religions, consider the interrelatedness of everything in the cosmos as it is expressed in many indigenous religions. How do you think the importance of these relationships developed? What spiritual purpose do you think they serve for indigenous peoples?

My mother, sisters and I have been living perfectly normal, we listen to all kinds of music both good and bad "Kenny G to Cradle of Filth" we do not have many dysfunctions and we all get good grades in school but we live a life that people that are too religious would not approve of. We always have been and always will be Christians and I have been with my mom when she ran into people from church and talked to them how she doesn't like to devote her whole life to her religion which makes sense of course, but she does not give up her faith. Our old neighbor is a pastor and my mom is friends with him, she feels somewhat obligated to attend his church and make a good picture of our family. I am almost 18 and I am dragged to church and told I cannot listen to my music anymore. I am also forced to sit every night while my mom reads us bible stories, and if she dissaproves of anything at all she claims that we are "Dampening her Spirit". This has all changed over a weekend. Is this normal?

This is dated back to 1997, but it's still relevant. Catholics and Protestants together made up 74% of the prison population, while atheists came in at a whopping 0.2%. Nice morals there, Christians.

Religious people are more centered on what doG wants (which, at times, has meant slaughter) while atheists are focused on humanity.

I heard that it was Jesus' cup. Is this true?

And another thing... if it is, how come there aren't other famous Jesus items like the cross he was crucified on or the clothes he wore or something like that?

I was clicking through articles off ABC World News web site and I came across this. After I read it I just sat back laughing. Not at the article itself for the info it told, that was interesting, but for how these "scientists" talk. They don't even realize the lies they tell themselves.

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1173173944953&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull
( http://news.google.com/news?ct=title&ned=us&topic=t )

I counted 10 " I guess " in the article. I just had to share a good laugh. Can't believe I use to believe in this stuff, just did what I was told and never thought for myself or did any homework myself past what books I was given.

Peace †

Where is your faith Christians? Have no fear of those who can destroy the body but not he soul.
The greatest terrorist Nation of all time "Rome" was defeated by their murder of a meek Jewish Rabbi, who even while being nailed to a cross asked God to forgive them. This is more powerful than any army. Have faith the best way to defeat terrorism is to not be terrorized, it nulifies their power.

I mean we ( most of us not all because there are some people in every religious group) don't bash your religion or bring up the facts that
~ There is no record of Jesus ever even existing
~ Jesus was not born in December ( if ever) but in spring
~ Bible was not written by Jesus but his friends ( who could have added what ever they wanted)
~ There is a huge difference between old testament and new testament. ( which one is right)
~ Most historians believe that Christianity was founded by Constantine in an attempt to save his kingdom.
~ That in general Christian countries have more crime rate, teen age pregnancy rate, more STD's and HIV, AIDS, HPV and other horrible diseases
~ Trinity makes no sense wats so ever
~ IF Jesus was god then how did he die and if he died how did he wake up again if he ( god) was dead? since only god has power to wake some one up from the death?

Okay Darwin made his theory of evolution and most people didn't accept it. They believed in God and went on with their ways. Then the Russians beat us in the space race. One scientist said that they teach evolution over there so we need to start teaching it if we want to keep up and get better.

Since then this has happened:

Abortions have gone up, teen suicides have sky rocketed, murder went up, the sexually transmitted diseases went up, pre marital sex went up, one-third of the babies born today their parents aren't married.

The Calibaun shooting, the kids said this about the guy they killed:
" He doesn't deserve the jaw evolution gave him." Their shirts read natural selection, and they did it on Hitler's birthday.

Evolution is decreasing our morals and leading us to chaos. Do you think that evolution is really the answer?

For all of you who continue to claim that one can only be truly saved by baptism by immersion, answer me this:

What about the theif on the cross? The one who asked forgivness of Jesus and Jesus told him there was a place in heaven for him. I didn't see him jumping down from cross and running to the nearest river. Jesus didn't say - "I'd take you to heaven, but you haven't been immersed in water. Oops."

Sometimes it is not possible to be baptised - some people are 'saved' and do not have a chance. Some it is just not possible - chronically ill.

Nor did Jesus give guidelines to what baptism was supposed to entail. Show me where it says that - that it must be carried out a certain way or the person isn't saved.
