I believe that it makes much more sense than the pile of hot, steaming bullshit you believe in.
Stop looking for scapegoats (isn't that what your devil's for?). Evolution has absolutely nothing to do with abortion, suicide, and murder.

Ok, I'm a Christian and this is totally ridiculous.
It's a theory. If anyone feels threatened by a theory then they are truly pathetic.
It was at Columbine High in Littleton, Colorado. Not Calibaun. Actually, did you know that the murderers told their friend Brooks Brown to leave the school before they opened fire so he wouldn't get hurt? Their shirts did not read "natural selection" they were wearing trench coats.
Maybe it's because people misunderstand evolution? I DON'T BELIEVE in it, but I still like learning about it because it's interesting. Darwin never said that we came from monkeys. He said that we were closer related to monkeys, then say, palm trees.
Things aren't that much worse than it was since the theory of evolution was established, ok?
And actually, according to Wikipedia, murder rates have gone down quite a bit since 2000 in many places. In Switzerland, from 88.6 to 13.63 per 100,000, for example. And in some places, it has gone up a bit. From 5.5 to 5.9 in the US. That all depends on a nation and their current affairs. Evolution has nothing to do with it.

No, I don't think evolution is the answer. It logically doesn't make sense. How is it that we, humans, evolved from gorillas or apes. If that is true, then over the thousands of years humans have been around, we should have seen some gorillas with human offspring, or something close to that.
But I do realize that many people's morals have diminished over the years, and that is quite depressing. I don't have a reason for this but it might be the corruption that is spreading through music and tv. Everything talks about sex, drugs, and hoes. I mean is that music?
By the way, i am a pretty open minded person, but when a junior high student is aspiring to be like Ashley Tisdale (actress from some Disney show, my sisters watch:( ), and dress like a stripper, then we have a BIG problem. And i see many girls act like that! very sad.

Evolution is descriptive. It can be immoral only if attempting to accurately describe nature is immoral.
Any morals derived from evolution would have to recognize the fact that humans have evolved to be social animals. In a social setting, cooperation and even altruism lead to better fitness (Wedekind and Milinski 2000). The process of evolution leads naturally to social animals such as humans developing ethical principles such as the Golden Rule.
Some bad morals, such as eugenics and social Darwinism, are based on misunderstandings of evolution. Therefore, it is important that evolution be taught well to negate such misunderstandings.
Despite claims otherwise, creationism has its own problems. For one thing, it is founded on religious bigotry, so the foundation of creationism, by most standards, is immoral.
Probably the most effective weapon against bad morals is exposure and publicity. Evolution (and science in general) is based on a culture of making information public.
Scientists are their own harshest critics. They have developed codes of ethical behavior for several circumstances, and they have begun to talk about a general ethics (Rotblat 1999). Creationists have nothing similar.
Some people feel better about themselves by demonizing others. Those people who are truly interested in morals begin by looking for immorality within themselves, not others.
Crime rates go up and down and are associated mostly with the age of the population. There does not appear to be any correlation between crime rates and teaching evolution. The United States was generally more violent in the years 1870-1910 before evolution was taught. In recent years, crime rates have been dropping since 1989.
Regional trends show a negative correlation between crime and teaching evolution. Other developed democracies accept evolution to a far greater extent than the United States and have lower homicide rates, juvenile and early adult mortality, sexually transmitted disease infection rates, teen pregnancy, and abortion rates (Paul 2005). In the United States, southern states tend to emphasize creationism more, but they also have generally higher crime rates.
Correlation does not imply causation. Since the teaching of evolution, death rates from most cancers have decreased, air travel has increased, and the earth's temperature has risen, but we do not attribute any of those to teaching evolution.
In the United States, at least, most people do not believe evolution. If social ills follow from belief about origins, creationists deserve more of the responsibility.
"Do not ask why the old days were better than the present; for that is a foolish question" (Ecclesiastes 7:10).

That was some serious rambling, dude. Your sense of history is a bit off too. The Monkey Trial happened before Sputnik. The Monkey Trial was the big debate in the courts regarding teaching evolution in the schools (1925, Sputnik was 1957).

Dude, that's so true. And the yearly average temperatures are inversely proportional to the number of pirates there are! http://www.venganza.org/piratesarecool4.jpg THAT MEANS ONE CAUSES THE OTHER!! OMG!1!11
Learn a little about statistical analysis before you start spouting off things that don't make sense. Correlation doesn't mean causation.
And listen, just because the only thing keeping you from going on a murder spree is your fear of God, doesn't mean that people who believe in evolution feel they have nothing to restrain them.
Anyone who knows anything about evolution knows our duty as organisms is to reproduce and allow our offspring to grow and thrive in a SAFE environment. Not only does shooting people NOT get you laid, it also makes it less likely for your offspring to survive.

Mate, evolution existed before the theory was created. We are constantly evolving both as species and as individuals. Natural selection is part of life, that's the reason you and me are here. Our knowledge of evolution did not make us worse humans, take for example, centuries before the theory was suggested, what the christian world was doing to the non-christian world. In those days, racism existed as a commandement from God.
Read the bible and you will see genocides and racism all over it, from Jews to gentiles, and Romans to Jews.
Evolution brought us knowledge that in the end of the day, were are no more children of God than dogs, cats, birds, and bacteria.
I don't want to be nasty, as I believe in God. This God I believe in is part of our cultural evolution, my personal evolution.

"Teens believe this and think that it doesn't matter what they do....
They don't see the real worth that they have so they just do what feels right at the moment. Surely you can't deny this"
how about the fact that you can sin and be forgiven for anything as long as you pray to jesus, you can effectively get away with anything that way as well..

So your rationality behind this is that because teens are taught evolution, they act the way they do because they think there are no reprocutions?
Are you dumb? Children act the way they do because their parents don't parent. This goes for EVERYONE. Not just non-believers. Ever hear of the preachers kid that gets fed up and becomes a drunk and kills someone in a car crash?

I think the issues are connected, but more subtly than how you put it. Evolution is just one of many distractions which people use to blind themselves to God's presence; this is easier than confronting our own inadequacies. The truth is, we have totally removed God's Word from our society and from our children's education, and then we wonder why God seems distant and "hasn't proven his existence". One will argue that a person does not have to be a Christian to have morals, but it is still fun to use their precious "statistics" against them...

No, only the fear of the judgement by the true creator which is the lake of fire for all unbelievers can change the evil doers.
Evolution has no consequences for any evil, the human laws are unable to solve these moral and spiritual sins.
