Well, I have seen a red moon several times in my life....still waiting...

I don't think its referring to a lunar eclipse because what I have heard is that the dirt under the surface of the moon is red so if something removed the top soil of the moon bingo Jesus is coming back

Actually it refers to the day of judgment.
There will be signs that will be occurring before that day arrives.
We have had a few of the already.
Mt Saint Hellenes put out dust into the high atmosphere and made the moon look like blood.
There were fires and blood and pillars of smoke in 1990 the first invasion of Iraq.
All the oil well fires, the pillars of smoke.
The dead bodies of killed people in the war--their blood also.

There are more things that will happen.

The actual prophesy is:

Joel 2:30 "And I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire, and columns of smoke.
Joel 2:31 "The sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.

Not likely, or people will be awaiting His return.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Possibly, but I bet it wouldn't be a regularly scheduled eclipse. So you can't go looking at the calendar of lunar eclipses for the next 100 years and say that one of those days will be the 2nd coming.

What makes you think that the moon will be red THEN?

Joel 2:28 “After that, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your old men will have dreams.
Your young men will have visions.
29 In those days I will pour out my Spirit on those who serve me, men and women alike.
30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth. There will be blood and fire and clouds of smoke. 31 The sun will become dark. The moon will turn red like blood. It will happen before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. 32 Everyone who calls out to me will be saved. On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem some of my people will be left alive. I have chosen them. That is what I have promised.
... Peter tells us that this prophecy WAS FULFILLED in Acts 2:16ff.

It is also mentioned in Revelation 6, but there is no reason to assert that this is an ADDITIONAL occurrence of the phenomenon.

God is so powerful that He can make anything happen in a heartbeat. So if the Bible says that the moon will turn red, believe
it. It will turn red because it will be burning as a great fire. And guess what my friend, Jesus is coming back soon.

I've seen red moons multiple times. It is a natural phenomenon that requires the air to be just the right temperature (usually after a sunset) and then the sun's light refracts in just the right way to make a red moon.

So Jesus is long overdue. I've seen at least 8 in my short lifetime.

I guess so, even though there's been a lot of lunar eclipses and so far I haven't seen Jesus.
