I'm there, man.
I'd much rather be saved from old age than saved from death. An eternity is just too long. It would be bound to get boring. On the other hand, Methuselah's 1000 years, Solomon's 1000 wives and concubines, and equipment that works sounds perfect.

Well, considering in our religion that the alternative to heaven, I think I'm very thankful that he chose to die for my sins.
Think about it, we live around 100 years. By saving us from aging, we would live in this world forever, problems and all. Instead, by saving us from sins, he gives us hope for a better life. Besides, being the Alpha and Omega (Beginning and End) I believe that God exists outside of the dimension of Time. So, if God exists outside of time, I don't think we will ever get bored in heaven.

Well it is written in Mark 1:4 & Luke 3:3 the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
Imagine that baptism for the remission of sins. NO DEATH NEEDED! Oh that just can't satisfy a blood thursty God! No that just will not do someone must DIE!

What if Jesus was just a guy, who never had any intention of being made into all this? it was a really, really common name at the time you know. It is like saying Bob or Mike today.

Because he wanted to prove that even death itself could not stop him, plus i believe to him to save us from eternal damnation was more important than a temp. suffering. Plus the scriptures and past prophosies would never have been confirmed and completed showing God a lier.
