Tell me what religion, cult, or sect that you belong to. If you are athiest, then tell me why you do not believe. I am currently Catholic and eventually want to convert, but i can't decide what i believe in.

I don't understand. Someone asks why there are still monkeys, receives an adequate answer then asks the same question again and again. Even now as I'm typing this I know a person will say, "Well... Why are there still monkeys? Why have mammoths 'de-evolved' to regular elephants? Why haven't cockroaches evolved to have brains?"

What do you think about the whole Jesus tomb controversy? I personely think that the whole thing is bogus and a setup. I mean, do think that it will have a big affect on Christian faith?

It has been suggested that we, who do not condone this, not accept them as change. I am probably opening a Pandora's box, but I am going to ask how you feel about this?

condone everything that is against the Scriptures and then says sweetly to everyone, I can see your point but...... They never, in their eyes foolishly, say anything is the absolute truth but lean more heavily on the side of corruption?

As my my Father continues to grow me up, I realize all he states is right! Add nothing to it and take nothing from it, I for a long time didn't understand why we chatter so much! Considering what Jesus has taught me about slander. A blind world feeds off the words of others for direction. Hearing gives us location, so chatter is necessary for direction. The problem continues to heighten due to movement. Jesus Christ is the Lord of all things small and great. Blindness is tragic handicap it requires assistance. I'm reminded of my blind foster dad who needed guidance constantly in public. Without it he would fall for anything, I remember I was about 8 years old and I was reading a book I believe and I had the area he was walking blocked off. Never the less he continued to walk and fell on his face because of me. I fled in fear because of what I had caused. As I'm reminded of this I give thanks unto Jesus Christ who leads me in this path for without him I would be on my face helpless.

Before you come in rolling up your sleeves for a fight know that I am an Atheist. Here is my question. Why dont Atheist congragate and form thier own "church" if you will? Let me explain, I grew up a christian. Had to, my parents were. I learned morals through christian teachings. How does an Atheists learn about morals? What is right and what is wrong? And even into my adulthood I didnt mind church because of the social aspects and comradery. Why cant I have that now just because I dont believe?

Please tell me a maximum of 3 distinct reasons why the separation of church and state is important. I believe Kark Marx wanted it because the collectivism of religious groups interfered with the collectivism of the state. I think the U.S. founding fathers wanted it because they felt the collectivism of religion in government interfered with persons individualism.

Hello. I am Roman Catholic- I am 18 years old and I have a question. I want to prepare my heart and soul for spiritual journey to draw closer to Jesus. However, the thing is i am not used to praying the holy rosary and other prayers every day. I love Jesus, God, Our Holy Mother (heavenly mother) so much and all saints and all angels. How can i prepare my soul for that spiritual journey?

I can't take it anymore. Why should I stay alive, there is no reason for me to stay alive anymore, it is time for me to move on.

My life is miserable, and I shouldn't be here, we all going to die anyways so I might as well get it over quickly.

I will be 22 years old this year, and I am very poor. I am in debt and I am going to be homeless

Sure, Pigs are filthy, but no doubt Nukes are more deadly? If whoever proclaimed the rules had divine vision and wisdom, wouldn't he/she/it be able to forsee the future and ban the stuff in the future that would be harmful to mankind? As far as I see it, alcohol and pigs may be some of the most deadly stuff back 1500 years ago, but right now, they are nowhere as deadly as the other stuff like crack cocaine or ice.

Now, do you people who think they know so much about the Catholic Church understand this now? Baptism is with water poured over the head or emmersion. We call Baptism -- Baptism, nothing more , nothing less.

In 670 Arabia, if you didnt assert a religious calling, you couldnt be considered a leader. Period. Muhammad's story is to real-life (savage) to be made up by some later poetic fairy tale writer making up a religion. Someone making-up a Prophet would be more likely to make him sound miraculous and magical.

Consider the story of the Quran. Muhammad recieved it over twenty-plus years, exactly how we would expect a warlord to make-up his rules. Most people get some kind of new idea or ephiphany daily or weekly. The story of the Quran functions perfectly within normal human experience and is exactly how you would imagine Muhammad to slowly construct and justify his rules.

If Muhammad had simply come down from a mountain with a big book of rules, being the ignorant warlord he was, we would either dismiss the story as being totally made up, or we would call it a miracle and believe as sheep.

Shulchan Aruch, except for Chosen Mishpat. The only thing is I hate irreligious Jews, which is fine because the Beis Yosef says it's a mitzvah to hate them and obstruct them in every way, so would I be allowed to convert to Judaism?
