well i would not go as far as to say that Jesus was black, because the region that he originated from is typically dark olive complexion, curly dark hair...he was a peasant and therefore came from non "royal" blood and would resemble the people of the day most likely broad faced about 5' 1, and about 110 lbs. also contrary to popular belief he would never had long hair, in his day this would have been considered disgraceful..and as a matter of fact Paul the apostle wrote If a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him." It is speculated that Paul would not have written this if Jesus Christ had had long hair?

The Shroud of Turin, which is believed by some Christians to be the burial shroud of Jesus. It is of a man estimated to be 5' 11½" to 6' 2" tall.

we know for sure that he was not white with long flowing hair.

Just your average Middle Eastern man. T those who recognized Him, he was the divine Son of God. He was Hebrew and spoke Aramaic. How do you think someone would look like having those to characteristics? The European dipiction is based on what they want him to look like. Remember there was once was a time where white people thought they were the most dominate "race" of man.

Five years ago, Popular Mechanics magaizine commissioned a computer generated image of what Jesus looked like. According to them, He had short, jet black hair, dark eyes, average height...in other words, your typical Middle Easterner. I prefer Larry the Cable Guy's description; that He looks like the drummer from Foghat

Isaiah 53:2
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.

No, not European.
Not pretty like statues.
What would divine powers have to do with how He looked.

It's impossible to know for sure, but it would make sense for him to look more Middle Eastern based on where He was born. If you believe that the shroud of Turin is real, maybe more European.

Oh gimme a break, Jesus wasn't Black.

Jesus was Middle Eastern, looked Middle Eastern, and since those were the days before SPF, was probably well-tanned. He did not have Divine powers, though. If any miracles were done, it was God who did them, and Jesus was a vessel.

There is no description of Jesus written anywhere, therefore no one knows what he looked like. It is safe to assume that he would have looked how Jews and Arabs in the Middle East look.

I remember reading where Jesus was described as having "hair like wool and feet the color of brass". I say Jesus was a man of color and not the white man he's depicted as in the movies.

Um, I'll have to say that he was black or middle eastern, seeing that he was living in a hotter climate. It would kind of be hard for him to be too light with that scorching heat. And yes, he had many powers.
