I heard that it was Jesus' cup. Is this true?

And another thing... if it is, how come there aren't other famous Jesus items like the cross he was crucified on or the clothes he wore or something like that?

Well back in the good old days, when they were selling relics and indulgences, you could buy pieces of the true cross! Yes sir, and lots of 'em.

One history prof estimated that, had we bought all the pieces of the true cross that were sold, we would today have enough wood to build a modern U.S. aircraft carrier. One early historian said He must have been crucified on an entire forest. I have not tried e-bay.

The Grail is set in history and myth as the cup used at the Last Supper. The story, full blown by the 14th century, says that when the body of Christ was found missing Joseph of Arimathea was arrested. He had collected blood from the wounds of Christ while preparing the body. In prison he was visited by Christ and put in charge of the Grail. Here the story goes into various versions including the conspiracy story that Christ never died.

Based on even pagan lore, the Grail could make lost kingdoms come to life. It was, by the 14th century story, the beginning of the mass and the imparting of the life of Christ to consumers. In another version it is a cover story for the passing of the royal blood of Christ, through sons he had with Mary Magdalene, to kings in France, portions of Europe, Scotland, Greece and Italy.

As to clothing there is casting lots for the robe at the cross, the grave clothes folded by the angels, the shroud of Turin, etc. A veiw of Relics or the Seamless Robe of Jesus on Wikipedia is a starting point. Wikipedia for Holy Grail is a good overview.

Jesus is the Holy Grail. In medieval times, the line of messianic descent was defined by the French word Sangréal. This derived from the two words, Sang Réal, meaning "Blood Royal". This was the Blood Royal of Judah, the kingly line of David which progressed through Jesus and his heirs. In English translation, the definition, Sangréal, became "San Gréal", as in "San" Francisco. When written more fully it was written "Saint Grail", "Saint", of course, relating to "Holy"; and by a natural linguistic process came the more romantically familiar name, "Holy Grail". It's the Messianic Bloodline. In symbolic terms the Grail is often portrayed as a chalice that contains the blood of Jesus; alternatively as a vine of grapes. The product of grapes is wine, and it is the chalice and the wine of Grail tradition that sit at the very heart of the Communion, the Mass, the Eucharist; and this sacrament, the Sacred Chalice, contains the wine that represents the perpetual blood of Jesus.

There are several theories as to what the Holy Grail is. Some think it is the cup with which Christ gave communion at the last supper. Others think it is the cup in which MARY caught Christ's blood as it dripped from the cross. Others think it is the womb of Mary Magdalin, in which the seed of Christ became his liniage. Chose for yourself.

Yes, it is supposedly the cup Jesus drank from at the last supper. I do believe that some have claimed to have a piece of the cross ascribing some kind of magic powers to it.

The likelihood of either existing is remote. It's still not certain that Jesus even existed.

The holy grail is a story about someone catching a few drops of the Messiah's blood in a goblet. After that everyone who drank from it received eternal life and healing.
