Well, it seems he has had massive mood changes from the old testament to the new testament. Going from being enraged, without compassion, murdering, jealous, bitter, and brutal to loving, forgiving, and happy.

When his creation of humans failed to meet his unrealistic standards of perfection he lacked the ability to cope with the anxiety and depression, so he just destroyed the enire world and tormented/kill his son .

*Note also he disowned and damned his own children to death when they ate his forbidden fruit.

Visions of grandur apparent with his belief he was all-knowing, good, and powerful. Believed he was his own son Jesus, which indicates a period of delusions and hallucinations.

*Note also a belief that he is some Holy Spirit. The inconsistancies in his behavior and mind set are massive.

Diagnosis: Bipolar Disorder
I suggest serious intense therapy, a large dose of Lithium for mood stability, Prozac for anxiety and depression, and Haloperidol for his psychosis

How is this possible (& still know everything)?
Why is it they get mad when you show them the Bible verse that says, "Yeah, though I make my bed in hell, God is there also".

How are you ever really gonna "escape" being around God anyway, if God is everywhere (omnipresent) & all knowing (omnipotent)?

Something doesn't add up?

I have been a Christian for four years (since I was 13)....I have been doubting my faith recently and tried to find peace with God elsewhere......it has not worked. God always drew me back to him.....I can't escape being a Christian...but I feel happy....I started to fast and seek God through reading the Bible and praying more......Can anyone give me some more advice or a word of encouragement?

A man, everyday for 50 years, slaughtered ten children each day in the most inhumane ways imaginable then one minute before dying asked Jesus to save him.

-or-

A man who simply did not believe in a higher power, but had good morals and lived his life the best way he could and never hurt anyone.

Who would get into Heaven?

Does the Holy Spirit anable 'glossolalia'/speaking in tongues in the modern church?

Thanks in advance to all atheists for their 'fairy tale' and 'pink pixie' comments -

If your church says no, what is the Biblical argument?

There is a story in the Islamic history about a battle called "Sareyat Al Kadeed" where prophet Muhammed sent his companions to invade a neighbour village. The story tells that the Muslim army waited outside the village and watched until the night came in and people went to bed, then the Muslim army invaded the village where they killed, enslaved and looted all the valuables and brought them back to prophet Muhammed.

Was that the only way for prophet Muhammed to spread his word?

The story did not even mention anything about preaching the words of prophet Muhammed.

Based on my questions on Yahoo Answers, apparently all I get is that anything non-Christian is bad.

With that as a Conclusion regardless of the facts and premises involved, how credible is anything a Christian says?

Is anyone regardless of religious belief credible on anything said if it is based on a preconcieved notion and not based on facts?

Should we as a human being examine our pre-concieved notions, and re-evaluate our beliefs, if only to make the belief stronger?

A elderly man came up to me with tears in his eyes while I was sitting in my car and asked if I had if I $3.00 and change for a bus ride home. His wife was in the hospital for tests and needed to get home. All I had was a $5.dollar bill and $2.dollars in change. I told him that I need the $5 for the turnpike, So I gave him the $2dollars that I had. He said thank you and turned away.
I looked down to put my purse away and looked back up to see that he was gone. The hair stood up on my neck. Do you think it was a test or am I wrong.

Is this real?: get yourself some sort of earthen or ceramic pot with a lid, terra cotta like a flowerpot if possible, but if not, any ceramic pot with a lid. Then, get a little of every kind of food - a little chicken, a little beef, a little pork, a little smoked mackerel. A potato, a green banana, a sweet potato, a little rice, some beans, some corn (all cooked). Just a little of each! A little coconut candy, a little popcorn. A little of everything you can think of. When you have all this ready, scrub the pot out very well and dry it. Then put in a little of each kind of food. Put in a few sweets, a little rum, a little champagne. Then put the lid on the pot, and get yourself a spool of thread, and start to wind the thread around and around, and over the lid and around the base, over and over. Call the pot by the name of the person you want to love you. I am talking to you and when I talk you must listen. You must come to me, you want me, you love me." And so on.

Everyone was free in mind and body to pursue there happiness freely and were not compelled to do anything they didn't want to? Where no one was ever hungry or thirsty? Where people were wise enough to resolve diffrences peacabily? Where no one got sick, grew old or died of natural causes because wisedom and understanding and the scientific and medical knowledge those bring would have cured those ills? Where everyone had a home? Where the land air and sea was clean and healthy everywhere and all species were celebrated and protected fully? Where no one suffered needlessly? Where everyone had the common sense to put needs before wants without disregaurding the importence of either?

Islamic history books tell about a battle called "Sareyat Al Fuls" where prophet Muhammed ordered his cousin (Ali Ibn Abu Talib) to lead a group of Muslims and go to conquer a neighbour village and destroy their temple.

The story says that the small army invaded the village, destroyed its temple, looted all valuables, and enslaved many women and men.

The story also tells that the Muslim army leader (Ali) asked his prisoners of war if they would submit to Islam. He saved the lives of those who submitted to Islam and KILLED those who refused to submit to Islam.

The whole story can be found (in its original ARABIC) in Al Maghazy and also Ibn Hisham:

Is that story true?

Ok, so lets just use the below question as an example,

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgsjoDfSRj5BEMCDpj6XeXnd7BR.?qid=20070305083857AAoab5H

In this question on yahoo answers we see a few answers that attack the person asking the question,

we see someone impying that the asker is a drug user, and someone implying that the asker had low SAT scores.

How is that answering the question of the asker?

Regardless of the drug habits of the asker, in this case the asker is not a drug user, is the question still worthy of a polite respectful answer?

Regardless of the SAT or ACT scores, and level of education of the asker, in this case the asker has a Bachelor of Art's from a Big 10 university, is the question still worthy of a polite and respectful answer?

--

If the question itself is phrased disrespectful, perhaps the answer could state that, and the answerer take the high moral ground?
