Why are they so messed up?

I don't know a thing about that faith.
but would like to know your opinion on what is messed up and why.

Because some of us cling to the gifts of the Holy Spirit while other, more progressive ones, want to forget all that because they are afraid of spirits and want to go more mainstream. That's why I left organized religion. Well actually the Charismatics did it for me. They wrapped it all up and tied it with a bow. Think and believe for yourself. We are all free.
